Cleo is of Japanese descent on her father's side, as her last name, her ancestors' names (Itsumi, Tesuo, Nobutaka) and her appearance shows.
Cleo is perceived to be a copy of [[Dina Caliente]] from [[Pleasantview]]. Both have the same aspiration, and are roommates of another female Sim, although Cleo and Dina do not share any physical similarities.
