Comfort: Difference between revisions

If a Sim has been standing up for too long, his or her Comfortcomfort meter will drop. Though it is not as important as the [[hunger]] meter, Sims who become uncomfortable will become grumpy and irritable. Sitting down and relaxing is a quick and easy way of replenishing the Comfortcomfort meter, as is going to bed. Taking [[Bathtub|baths]] and [[hot tub]]bing will also improve comfort. Even if a Sim is reading, watching television, or playing the piano, their comfort level will rise as long as they are sitting down. Of course, different chairs, beds and baths will increase the Comfortcomfort level at different rates; for example, the Werkbunnst All Purpose Chair{{Vgversion|TS}} Will not raise comfort motive

In places such as [[Downtown (The Sims)|Downtown]] and [[Old Town]], there are benches for Sims to sit down and relax, but don't raise comfort levels as much. There will often be more comfortable chairs or sofas for them to sit on, but even then, Sims in ''The Sims'' will often wander off autonomously. This is slightly improved in ''[[The Sims 2]]'', as Sims are more likely to sit autonomously when Comfortcomfort is down, and to remain sitting long enough to recover some of the comfort motive.

[[Servo#The Sims 2|Servos]] in ''[[The Sims 2: Open for Business]]'' have no Comfortcomfort motive. [[PlantSim]]s in ''[[The Sims 2: Seasons]]'' have a hidden Comfortcomfort motive, but no Comfortcomfort meter.
