The Cool Shades is an aspiration reward object in The Sims 2.

Effects

These funky glasses are quite useful when the player's Sims wants to improve their relationships with other Sims rapidly. They are also quite handy when trying to make another Sim their lover.

Using the Cool Shades

When a Sim puts one a pair of the Cool Shades, they will do an interesting pose. If the player's Sim uses the glasses and has a gold or platinum aspiration meter, the Sim's relationship with other Sims they're interacting with will increase rapidly (about +25). However, if the aspiration meter is low (red, yellow or green), the use of the glasses may be fail, causing the relationship to other Sim decreases down -25, and could possibly make the Sims enemies.

Trivia

• The glasses give off a green glowing light.
• There's only 5 pairs of them
• When all of the five glasses have been used, the player can click force error on the glasses' stand (boolprop testingcheats must be enabled). This will add five more uses of it instead of buying it for 10,000 aspiration points!
