Cribs in ''The Sims 4'' are known as bassinets. As at the moment, only one kind of bassinet is available - the Rock-a-bye Bassinet. Like ''The Sims'' but unlike ''The Sims 2 ''and'' The Sims 3'', the bassinet is tied to a particular baby until that baby ages up. However unlike ''The Sims'', it will not disappear when its current occupant ages up but it can be sold for <span>§150 or be used by babies who are born later in the household.</span>
The bassinet is provided automatically free-of-charge if the player decides that the pregnant Sim give birth at the hospital. Otherwise, if the player wishes to have the birth take place at home, a bassinet will need to be purchased before the birth can continue. In either case, the player can change the bassinet's colour at anytime.
