To know the other Sim's wants and fears,you need to click on the aspiration sign (e.g. Knowledge icon) next to the face on the date meter panel. This will show a panel of the sim's wants and fears. This is the easiest way to have a dream date without cheats.
*The second best way to have a dream date is to propose to the other sim during the date if their relationship is strong enough, then after the proposal, the date will immendiately become a dream date, then if the sim rejects, the date will immediately become a horrible date and will end.
