I think that she married into the Caliente family and thus it's Serena that's related to Dina and Nina. (Zoe and Zack's names must follow more the Durwood twin naming convention instead.)

Doreen seems to be a parody of ''Endora'' from the TV series "Bewitched". They both are old witches who strongly disapprove their witch daughters' marriage to a normal person and who make their son-in-law's lives a living hell. Endora and Doreen also have a striking alikeness, even sharing similar clothing and names.
