====Firing====
Firing an employeeEmployees can be donefired at any time and for any reason,. firingFiring employeesan helpsemployee ifwho they dodoes not live up to expectations or will not do their job helps the business. Sometimes, the Sim who was fired will insult the employer, but even if they don't, firing an employee will always leave a negative relationship between the owner and employee.

===Management===
In either typestype of Businessesbusiness, employees will have moods that depend on how they're being treated and how long they work for. To which theThe owner must pay close attention to their employees' thoughts ifwhen they're atare on the lot or at theirthe owner's home. Just likeAs in ''Open for Business'', owners can promote or demote employees, raisingwhich raises or loweringlowers their level and work salary.

Employees forof Retailretail Businessesbusinesses will have no primary role, until the owner selectsassigns themone. toThey docan eitherbe Chattingassigned to chatting up customers, Ringingringing up Customercustomers, Restockingrestocking, or Cleaningcleaning.

Employees forof Restaurant Businessesrestaurants will get straight to work dependingat on whatthe job youthey have been hired them for,. mostlyAs employeesthey will often have low skills, and sothey may be slower and mess upmake more mistakes. For example, suchhosts asmay Hoststake takingtoo long to seat customers, Waiterswaiters droppingmay drop food, Chefsand cookingchefs may cook poorly etc. thisHowever, however, can be helped as owners can offer their employees money tofor train themtraining once their shift is over. OwnersThis can train their employees forbe brief training (§150), standard training (§600), or extensive training (§1500,). onceOnce theyan haveemployee has returned from training, their skills wouldwill have risen considerably.

====EmployeesEmployee Satisfaction====
[[File: Restaurant Employee Report.png|thumb|329x329px|An example of Employee Satisfaction from a Financialfinancial Reportreport of a Restaurantrestaurant.]]Sometimes the employee will be unsatisfied with their job, to fix this owners or the household that owns the business can praise the employee for their work, criticising employees for their work will make them work better but their mood will lower. Sometimes praising an employee for their work just won't cut it and will ask for a promotion to which it is up to the Sims decision whether or not to promote them. Not doing so will lower the employees relationship with the employer and risk them quitting.

Employees for both Retail and Restaurant are dictated by four things: Mood, Skill, Work Hours, and Pay/Promotion.

Sims apart of the household that owns a Business can pitch into the family business and do the jobs instead of hiring NPC's to do the job. This is very beneficial as they don't need to be paid and allows the player full control over their business.

However, this only applies to Retail Businesses, it is impossible for Sims of the owners household to replace the needed jobs such as Host, Waiter, or Chef, as it is a requirement to hire them through the Manage Employees tab.
