Of the ten career tracks in the base game, entertainment has the lowest pay at rank 1 but the highest pay at rank 10, making it the exact opposite of the [[military]] career track. It was also in a three-way tie with [[Athletic (career)|pro athlete]] and [[Science (career)|science]] for having the best ratio of pay to friends required to reach max rank (100). In both of these ways, it served as a precursor of sorts to the [[hacker]] track from ''Livin' Large'', which has the absolute highest pay at rank 10 and best pay-to-friends ratio of the game and any of its expansions.
