Family (aspiration)

Family is an aspiration. It is commonly known for it's easiness to fulfill wants. Family Sims aspire to settle down and have children, and thrive on spending time with their family members.

Teenager

A teenager's wants will focus on meeting new Sims, making friends and teaching his or her siblings new skills (i.e. walk, talk, potty train, doing homework). Their big wants are having their first kiss and going steady.

Meter Level for teenager:

• Platinum: Shining Example
• Gold: Pride and Joy
• Upper Green: Good Son / Darling Daughter
• Lower Green: Routine Relative
• Mild Red: Bad Seed
• Lower Red: Family Flunk Out

Adult

Adult have wants like having a number of babies, get married, engaged, making friends with his or her sons or daughters and teach them new skills. They fear aging without having children or getting married.

Meter Level for adult:

• Platinum: Family Rock
• Gold: Role Model
• Upper Green: Good Influence
• Lower Green: Solid Provider
• Mild Red: Brood Bungler
• Deep Red: Black Sheep

Elders

A desperate housewife

They have high scoring wants like having grandchildren and teaching them new skills.

Meter Level for elders:

• Platinum: Town Father / Town Mother
• Gold: Patriarch / Matriarch
• Upper Green: Sire / Matron
• Lower Green: Sweet Old Coot
• Mild Red: Grumpy Gramps / Grumpy Grams
• Deep Red: Creepy Crank / Creepy Crone

Desperations

Family Sims have high-impact fears over relatives dying, losing friends and to be rejected to have interactions with their children or grandchildren. When the aspiration bar is at deep red for a long time, then they will pull out a sack of flour with a face painted on it and will begin to rock and cuddle it like a baby.

Player Tips

• Never, ever pair a Romance Sim with a Family Sim, as their wants will clash.
