Alec was the husband of the late Rose Langford and the father of Adrian and Maureen Langford. He drowned along with his wife when her children were at college.
==Adulthood==
As an adult, Alec met Rose at work and they got on well immediately. However, he had trouble making the first move so Rose stepped up and sent him some coffee with her phone number on and when he looked over at her, mouthed 'Call me'. He did immediately and they arranged a date. However, a month after they started dating, Rose became pregnant but this didn't bother the couple. They just arranged to marry so the baby wouldn't be illegitimate. They had a great wedding and Rose gave birth to Adrian a week after they had their honeymoon.
