Agatha Buxley's school, St. Moira's, set up next to Annie's school. Annie noticed this and walked out and confronted Agatha. Agatha told Annie that it was required in each village for a private school. Almost a division between the (social) classes. Annie and Agatha despised each other from that day onwards.
