▲Dean was conceived on his parents wedding night, and his parents were ecstatic to learn of his conception. Tamora spent the pregnancy wondering whether this child would be a fairy or a vampire. Tamora and Charlie fell in love with their little fairy son after meeting him after birth. Dean discovered he was a fairy when he became a toddler, and after his brother Shane's birth he and his family moved from Moonlight Falls to Appaloosa Plains. Dean is sent off to military school soon after the move. Dean briefly comes back home for the family to move to Starlight Shores, but he is sent back to boarding school immediately after.

After his parents marriage broke down, he was removed from boarding school and taken to Oasis Springs by his mother. Now he, his brother, and mother are trying for a new start, which included him being changed from fairy, to normal human.
