Diane's parents were separated after her mother caught her father in bed with another woman. The divorce effected Diane in so many ways she couldn't trust men for years. She was taught her toddler skills a day before she became a child and was constantly picked on at school by her peers because her family didn't live up to the Saint name.
Most of the Saints never experienced cheating spouses nor even dared to think about it. Her mother was also living off the family's money and didn't even had a job of her own. She was forced to make friends with her mother and learned to never have friends but acquaintances. Diane didn't work well enough in groups which cost her to fall behind in classes, Nana was forced to put Diane in boarding school until she would learn.
