In a press release, Dina herself said "I'm excited about the album, it's a pure fan album with some classic Christmas songs and some fresh ones written by myself." She also confirmed that she would be re-releasing "In The Spot Light" early next year, which will include 5 new tracks and a behind the scenes featurette. Dina announced the name of the album to be "Under The Christmas Tree"; she also included the album artwork. On the 1st March 2012, Dina used her Facebook account to announce that she had been writing new material for her new album; she also announced it was going to be named "Sunrise" after a song she that "meant a lot to her". She also confirmed that she was going to make a self doctumentary movie about her rise to fame; and also confirmed that it would feature live performances from her tour and asked fans to send in their sims to appear on the show. On the 10th March, Dina confirmed that the 1st single from her "Sunrise" album was going to be a cover of Soft Cell's "Tainted Love". It was also confirmed on the 21st April that Dina would be hosting the Official Sim Choice Awards in the summer.
