EA Games refused to comment on the character and simply stated that viewers would have to "buy the game" when it was released. Upon release, Dina and Nina were no where to be seen. The storyline in the game was set before the events of The Sims 1 and the Sims 2, so an appearance from either Dina or Nina would contradict the storyline in the Sims 2.
