As college went on, things were good. Her relationship with Dalton blossomed into love, she was getting high marks, and she found a friend in her dormmate, Melissa. However, Eileen hit a snag in her relationship: Dalton's ex, Kendra Aubrey had recently arrived at college. At first, she was fine with the two hanging out. But she noticed how flirty Kendra seemed toward him, even though Dalton never made a move. She tried to be okay with it, but her jealousy got the best of her. To her apprehension, she and Dalton decided to cool off their relationship.
Eileen slept on it that night, and decided to apologize to Dalton later, maybe see if they could salvage their relationship. She figured she'd do it at a frat party he was hosting, although Kendra also showed. Eileen gravitated towards Dalton; they never wanted to break up in the first place. But Kendra kept butting in, trying to grab his attention. She never got the opportunity to apologize. Kendra quickly pulled him away and tried to kiss him. A distraught Eileen left, before she could see that Dalton rejected her. She began avoiding her ex, assuming her suspicions about him and Kendra were all too true.
