The day Gordon and Gloria turned to Elders, Gordon retired from his career. Grace, Greg, George, Michelle, and Chelsea moved out to a different house so Gloria and Gordon could enjoy their retirement in peace and quiet.
Gordon and Gloria both saw Grace and Greg's divorce, and later get married to [[Fanon:Arthur Dean|Arthur Dean]], then having three new kids with him, [[Fanon:Sawyer Dean|Sawyer]], [[Fanon:Colby Dean|Colby]], and [[Fanon:Ashli Dean|Ashli]]. They often came over for birthdays or holidays and saw their younger set of grandkids grow up to teenagers and their granddaughter Susie get married and have their first great-grandson, [[Fanon:Riley Chelsea-Dennis|Riley]]
Soon, Gordon was really close to the end of his life, so Grace and Chelsea took Riley to come see Gordon and Gloria for their last few days so they could meet and get to know their great-grandson. Gordon spent most of the day playing with Riley, however, he died of old age in the middle of it. Gloria, Grace, Susie, and Riley all witnessed his death.
