Then Peter died while Gwen and Sandy were in the motel and Gwen was horrified. Sandy comforted her but she didn't want anything to do with him anymore. She moved into Carol's house then. At the funeral, Gwen learnt that Kaylynn and Nina were her mothers and was utterly surprised. She started spending more time with Kaylynn and Nina, and the women were proud of their daughter. Nina and Kaylynn then got a Joined Union with Gwen as both Kaylynn and Nina's maid-of-honour. Nina then gave birth to her and Kaylynn's second child, daughter Ashara Langerak-Caliente.
