Chapter 5: The Visit
Chapter 5: Back At School
The next day in the school, a child with blonde hair in pigtails walked inside. It was Vicky.
A few days later, it was the weekend. Astrid was on the computer, using it to write an essay for Simology class. Suddenly, the doorbell was heard.

"Finally, my flu is gone. I can't wait to meet my classmates." Vicky said to her imaginary friend, JellyBean.
"I'll get it!" Astrid's mother said, then ran to the door. "Oh hello! It's so nice to see you again!"

"Wait a second, please don't replace me!" JellyBean said.
"Hm... Wonder who it is." Astrid thought. "Ugh... Stupid Mr. Wolff! I hate doing essays for Simology."

"Don't worry JellyBean, I'd never do that." Vicky said. "ooh, how about him!"
"Astrid! Guess who it is?" Her mother asked.

She pointed to Chris Redfield, a child as well.
"Unless it's Leona or Jean, I really don't care."

"Hi, I'm Vicky" she said.
"Oh really? Well I guess Elliot can go home then..."

"I'm Chris" he responded.
"Wait? Elliot?" Astrid ran over to the front door.

"Hey, do you like music?" Vicky asked.
"ELLIOT! It's so good to see you again!" Astrid said, then hugged him.

"Yes! My dad even says he will buy me a guitar when I become a teenager." Chris said.
"Same here, Astrid!" Elliot said. "So, do you wanna go on a date or something?"

"Well, I hear if you like music, maybe you could go to a concert that will happen in the stadium next week."
"Of course!" Astrid said. "How about you can meet my new friends at the park!"

"Great idea! I'll even invite my best friend Tamera!" Chris then ran over to a girl with black hair and purple eyes.
"Sure, we can!" Elliot agreed, then they rode in a taxi to Central Park.

"Wait, he didn't realize I was flirting with him?" Vicky asked.
----

IN THE PARK

"Ugh, I can't believe mom forced us to come here," Jean said.

"Well I'm happy to be at the park!" Leona replied.

"Hey Leona! I want you to meet someone!" Leona and Jean turned around, and saw Astrid with a blonde haired teenager.

"Hello Astrid, I thought you were stuck at home doing an essay." Jean said.

"Who is he?" Leona asked.

"This is my boyfriend from Riverview, Elliot Briody!"

"Oh nice to meet you," Leona said.

"Hey Leona, you almost look familiar." Elliot said. "You know, you look just like a girl I met 7 years ago when I used to live in Sunset Valley."

"Wait... You look familiar to me too," Leona said. "I remember a boy from my class who looked just like you but younger."

"Well then, which class were you in 7 years ago?"

Leona told him the class she used to be in, then Elliot revealed it was the same one he had when he lived in Sunset Valley.

"So, you and your father were those annoying Vita Alto supporters?" Leona asked.

"Of course! Vita Alto had the greatest idea! It was a revolutionary idea!"

"No! Sunset Valley never should always be the quiet peaceful town it has always been!"

"No way! Stop being so old-fashioned! Get your mind out of the 1950s already!" Elliot yelled. "This town would have been better off with Vita Alto as the mayor instead of Nancy Stupid-graab!"

"You take that back!" Leona yelled.

The argument went on. Jean tried to pull Leona back but it was no use.

"Jean, what are they talking about?" Astrid asked, she never heard of Nancy Landgraab or Vita Alto before.

"They were two people running for mayor seven years ago. I guess Elliot lived here and he was on Vita Alto's side. We were on Nancy's side," Jean replied.

"QUIT YOUR STUPID FIGHTING!" Someone yelled, then Leona and Elliot stopped, and looked at the voice who said that. It was Lynda Burgundy.

"Sorry Mrs. Burgundy." Leona said.

"It's okay, just don't fight over that stupid election. It was seven years ago. Move on."

"Yes ma'am, okay," Elliot said.

"Good." Lynda was about to walk away, but suddenly Astrid went to her.

"Hey Mrs. Burgundy, I always had a question..."

"What?" Lynda asked.

"Why is your daughter such a mean, horrible girl?" She asked.

Chapter 6: Lynda's story
"You're asking me what?" Lynda said, surprised.

"You heard what I said, Mrs. B." Astrid replied.

"I suppose I could tell you." Lynda said. "Well, it all started with my mother... When I was so young, we lived in Riverview, and she always child abused me. And then her parents, my grandparents learned that she always hurted me when I was eleven years old."

"What does this have to do with Makayla?" Leona asked.

"Hey, this is my story to tell!" Lynda said, mad that Leona interrupted her story. "Where was I? Oh yes. So on my eleventh birthday, my grandparents got custody for me and my mom was so afraid the cops would get her, she went into hiding."

"Wow." Astrid said. "Unbelievable."

"What was that?" Astrid asked.
"During my teenage years, well, they were great until my best friend Lily moved away. Then I was all alone."

"Uh NOTHING!" Vicky said. "My sister will never know my crushes!" She thought.
"Aw, how sad!" Leona blurted.

"Hehe, okay..." Astrid said. Suddenly, she passed by a mirror in the hall. And looked at herself. She sighed.
"However when I entered university, I met Makayla's father, Randolph Cooper. He was so romantic to me during college. Even though he was so rebellious and didn't like school. After we graduated, we got married. Soon, I became pregnant, and I was so excited. But that's when I learned that he hates children and we got into a fight so bad, we got divorced."

"Maybe one day I will be my true self..." Astrid said to herself, looking in the mirror. "If only people would understand..."
"Then, I had to raise Makayla by myself. Everything went great, until twelve years ago when Makayla was five, I was trying to teach her to walk but then, my mom was seen for the first time ever. She kidnapped Makayla for three days and taught her that being bad is good. Now, Makayla has been so rotten. She dyes her hair pink without my permission, dates older guys like Parker Langerak, and says so many curse words."

"Hey girl!" Jean said to her. "Have you seen Leona? She actually wore something not black today! Astrid?"
"Man, I wish we could have stopped things from ending up like this." Astrid said.

Astrid stopped looking in the mirror. "Huh?"
"Well, there's nothing you can do about it now." Lynda said. "Makayla will be graduating soon, and then, she will be free and do all the bad things she wants. I just hope she won't join the criminal career. Anyway, I gotta go, bye."

"Were you even listening?"
"Hey Astrid, what if there was a way?" Leona asked, smirking.

"Sorry, I'm just depressed." Astrid said.
"How?"

"Why?" Jean asked. "What's going on?"
"Well, there's been rumors about a woman in this very town who has been working on..." Leona started to whisper. "time travel technology..."

"Well... uh..." She couldn't reveal her actual feelings. She had to think of something. "Just teenager stuff. Nothing important."
Chapter 7: Unbelievable
"Time travel technology? Are you joking?" Astrid yelled.

"Oh, okay. Well maybe I can take you to the theater after school to get your mind off it."
"Nope, I'm not. Trust me, I didn't believe it until recently, something strange happened that never would have guessed. I believe that this time travel technology could exist."

"You don't need to, it's fine." Astrid said. "Anyway, I, uh, better get to my class." she ran to the gym.
"Well, I guess you wouldn't lie..." Astrid said.

"Hey guys my dad just texted me, I gotta go," Elliot said. "It was good to see you Astrid."
"Hey Jean." Leona, wearing a white T shirt, said, approaching Jean. "Is that Astrid?"

"Yes. I think she's hiding something from us." Jean said. "She seems depressed."
"Oh, bye Elliot." Astrid replied "So, who has the time travel thing?"

"Well, maybe I'll ask her. We have Simology class together 5th period."
"Well, this scientist who lives in a house where the Andrews family used to live, her name is Mrs. Hall." Leona explained. "We must convince her to let us use her time travel machine."

"Okay, I'm sure we can!" Astrid said.
----
----
"No! Absolutely not!" Mrs. Hall rejected their question. "This uh... isn't a time machine! Hehe... You must have heard a stupid rumor or something." Then, she slammed the door on their faces.

Astrid sat on the floor in the gymnasium. She was all alone because most students were having their breakfast. She sat on the floor and began to cry. Astrid normally doesn't cry, because she's a tough girl, but something was wrong.
"Well, that didn't work." Astrid said.

Chapter 6: Astrid's feelings
"Don't worry Astrid, we can sneak in and use her time machine when she isn't looking. Let's do it!"

Later on, it was Simology class with Mr. Wolff. Astrid and Leona sat down in their chairs.
"Yeah, I saw a back door we could sneak into."

"So Astrid, I heard you are depressed for some reason," Leona said.
Astrid and Leona jumped over the fence, into Mrs. Hall's backyard. They saw some barbecue equipment next to the door. They moved it over and quietly opened the door. They saw Mrs. Hall reading a book on the couch, with earbuds on, so she couldn't hear them. Then they entered a room. It was a bedroom for a child.

"What? Where... Where did you hear that?"
"Wrong room." Leona said. They entered the room next to it, which was a small lab which had the time machine in it."

"Jean told me you were acting depressed this morning."
"Okay Astrid, set it to twelve years ago, near Mrs. Burgundy's original house." Leona said. Astrid set the time and place.

"Oh, um, well yeah, I am a little sad." Astrid said. "It's because of my boyfriend, Elliot broke up with me. He couldn't handle a long distance relationship."
"Let's go in." Leona said.

"Oh, I see..." Leona said. "I know Jean was sad when her boyfriend left."
They activated the machine. Soon they felt themselves going through time. Then, the time machine turned off... They walked out side.

"Well, I'm just going to need some time to get used to it." Astrid said.
They were very confused by their surroundings. They were in the Old Pier Beach, but there was no road, no houses, and in the back there was a few buildings, but they looked so old fashioned.

"Maybe you can get another boyfriend in this school. There's many cute guys here." Leona suggested.
"Wait... This is weird." Leona said. "When are we?" Leona checked the time on the time machine.

"Yeah, boys are "so cute" here..." Astrid sarcastically said.
"Astrid, you set the time to 120 years ago, not 12 years ago!" Leona said. "And it says we can't use the time machine for two hours because we used its resources!"

"Oh my gosh!" Astrid said. "I'm so clumsy!"
Then a boy sat next to Astrid, it was Arlo Bunch.

"Hey there, ready for the test?" He asked.
----
Back in the present day

"Oh no!" Astrid said. "I forgot to study!"
Lynda was sitting in her attic, looking through her old photo albums.

"Don't worry about me, Jean helped me last night." Leona said, "I'm ready."
"Oh, look at these photos." She said, looking at 50 year old photos of her mother as a toddler with her parents.

"Oh no, I always fail in this class!" Astrid panicked.

"Well, I can help you study before class starts." Arlo said.
"My mom was such a cute toddler." Lynda said. "So sad how evil she actually was."

"Thank you so much Arlo" Astrid said, then she opened her Simology textbook.

"So, this lesson is on 'needs' that we have. We have to describe the eight need bars every Sim has." Arlo said, "Hunger, Bladder, Energy, Social, Hygiene, and Fun."
"I miss my grandparents too. There's Grandpa Bernard and Grandma Tiffany." Lynda said. "They were so nice to me. Also, I remember that house."

"Oh, I remember!" Astrid said. "We learned this in Riverview last year. Thanks."
She suddenly had a memory of her grandparents becoming her guardians after they witnessed her mother abusing her. They treated her better and Lynda lived with them. They moved from Roaring Heights to Riverview which was when she met her best friend Emily "Lily" Williams.

"So, do you want to go to the Bistro after school with me?" Arlo asked.
"I wonder how Lily is doing now. I haven't seen her since she moved to Twinbrook..."

"Huh? Oh it's okay. I was planning on going to the new movie that just came out with Leona." Astrid said, then walked over back to Leona.
Chapter 8: Changing the past
"Astrid, I think Arlo was asking you on date! I think he has a crush on you."
Jean Redfield stood in the time-travel room with Mrs. Hall. Astrid, and Leona walked out of the machine. Jean knew her sisters had snuck here and she was angry.

"No, he just asked me if I wanted to go to a Bistro anyway." Astrid said. "What is a Bistro?"
"LEONA ANNE REDFIELD!! You snuck into Mrs. Hall's house and you used her time machine?" Jean yelled.

"The Bistro is where people go on dates to eat." Leona said.
"Jean, I can explain! We wanted to go and save Makayla from being kidnapped twelve years ago by her grandma!" Leona replied. "But we accidentally set it back 120 years instead of 12!"

"Wait... there's food there?" Astrid asked.
"Oh..." Jean said. "I see, I should have known it was for a good cause. Mrs. Hall, can we please use it?"

"YES." Leona said.
"Only if you go with them Jean." Mrs. Hall said. "You're the best scientist in the high school, so you should know how the time continuum works."

"I'll be right back, I'm telling Arlo that maybe I might go." Astrid said.
"Yes ma'am!" Jean said. "Well, since we got permission, I suppose we can go!"

"That's my girl!" Leona said.
----

Suddenly, Jean, Leona, and Astrid were in the past, next to a house called Cornucopia. It was twelve years ago, two minutes before Chelsea kidnapped Makayla.

"Wow... So this is Sunset Valley before we arrived..." Jean said.

"Hey, it's our Myrtle Bungalow house before we moved there. I almost forget what it looked like before we remodeled it." Leona said.

"Oh my gosh..." Jean said, as she saw something she never expected.

"It's... It's the Curtiz family!" Jean said. She saw Mr. And Mrs. Curtiz pushing, Alex Curtiz in a stroller. He was Jean's boyfriend who moved to Roaring Heights in the present time.

"Aw, your baby is so cute." Jean said to Mrs. Curtiz. "Can I hold him?"

"Of course," Mrs. Curtiz said, then Jean held Alex.

"Waaaah! Mama, she's cweepy!" Toddler Alex said.

"Here, have him back" Jean said. "That was mean."

"Well, Mrs. Curtiz always said Alex was troublesome as a toddler." Leona said.

Then, they saw a blue car drive in front of the Myrtle Bungalow.

"It's Chelsea!" Astrid said. "Get her!"

"You will not kidnap Makayla now!" Leona yelled, as she tackled Chelsea.

"Who are you?" Chelsea yelled. "Are you agents from the other side?"

"Maybe, maybe not." Leona said.

"Oh no, the agents are getting me! Retreat! Retreat!" Chelsea ran into her car, then zoomed away.

In the Myrtle Bungalow, Lynda was teaching Makayla how to walk.

"What's going on outside? Probably nothing." Mrs. Burgundy said.

"We did it!" Astrid said. "Yes!"

"Now, Makayla is no longer going to be a bad person!" Jean exclaimed,

"Well, wanna go to the present?" Astrid asked.

"Wait, there's something I wanna do first!" Leona then brought a permanent marker out and wrote "LEONA R. WAS HERE" in small letters on the Myrtle Bungalow house.

"Okay, let's go know. Everything should be great now!" Astrid said. Then, they entered the time machine and went back to the present time.

Chapter 7: The Date
After school, Leona accompanied Astrid waiting for Arlo at the Bistro. Astrid took the menu on the table and found that the price of the food were a little expensive. She also looked at her surroundings, everyone who came to the restaurant wore their formal suits.
“Leona, I think we should go home first for change our clothing” Astrid said.
“Nah, it’s okay” Leona said, “since we’re eating outside, it’s okay if we don’t wear formalwear”
“Oh, okay” Astrid said, “By the way, do you have boyfriend?”
“Yeah, he’s working in that grocery store” Leona answered pointing at the grocery store which located across the street, “We’re just dating for three months."
“How do you know him?” Astrid asked.
“Well, actually we already knew each other for ten years, and... well, it’s a long story until we meet again here” Leona said.
Several minutes later, Arlo finally arrived in the Bistro. “Sorry girls, I’m late” Arlo said, panting.
Arlo then took a seat next to Astrid. Astrid felt awkward since she still didn’t know much about Arlo except he was Darlene’s brother.
“So, uh... what do you want for eat?” Arlo asked, in awkward tone.
“Oh, okay, I want this, this, and this for the drink” Astrid said pointing at the menu.
“And how about you Leona?” Arlo asked.
“Well, I think I want this juice” Leona said.
“And the food?” Arlo asked.
“Nah, I just wanna drink” Leona said.
“Okay then” Arlo said, he then called the waitress and start to order. “Oh, add some herbs on my Mac and Cheese okay?” he said.
----
----
Meanwhile in another place.
Present
Makayla was seen scolded by her teacher for her attitude. Later, her mother, Lynda appeared. She apologized to the teacher and brought Makayla out of the teacher's room.

Lynda was very upset, but she didn’t said anything since it was the fourth time in this month Makayla got into trouble. “I hate that old f%$*!” Makayla grumbled, swearing about her teacher.
They were in Mrs. Hall's room, but it was dark.
“Don’t say that about your teacher, young lady!” Lynda yelled, “He’s your teacher! Give him some respect!”

“Whatever! Take me home now, I’m tired!” Makayla said.
"Hello, Mrs. Hall? We're done!" Jean yelled.
At the corner, Dina, Nina, and Darlene watched. “Jeez, that girl is sooooo annoying...” Dina commented.

“Well, she's kind of similar with someone in our group” Darlene said smirking at Dina.
No answer.

"Maybe she's sleeping, hey Astrid, wanna come to my home now?" Leona asked. "You can meet my family!"

"Sounds good." Astrid agreed.

Outside, Leona called a taxi and they entered it.

"Take us to the Myrtle Bungalow sir!" Leona said

"Sure thing." The taxi driver said.

But as they rode from the Hall residence, they noticed that Sunset Valley looked so different. There was no Mirabello Plaza, no Central Park, no Community School for the Gifted... Instead there were skyscrapers.

"Guys..." Jean said. "I think we changed the timeline!"

"No kidding..." Leona said.

When they got to the Myrtle Bungalow, they noticed that it only had one story, and looked the same as it did twelve years ago. Even the "LEONA R. WAS HERE" remained but it was aged twelve years.

"What happened?" Leona said, as she opened the door. "Let's go inside and figure this whole thing-"

When they entered the house, they saw Makayla and Alex Curtiz sitting on a couch, making out.

"A-ALEX? HOW ARE YOU IN SUNSET VALLEY AGAIN?" Jean yelled. "AND WHY IS MAKAYLA BURGUNDY IN MY HOUSE?"

"What do you mean?" Makayla said. "This isn't your house it's mine."

"UH OH..." Jean just realize... "WE CHANGED THE TIMELINE SO MUCH!"

Chapter 9: Your fault
Jean looked at Alex. He looked so different. He had longer hair with red highlight. He also wore a tank top with skulls on it. She was so surprised; he looked like a punk who always egg people's houses. Jean walked out to the sidewalk.

"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT, LEONA!" Jean yelled, as they walked outside.

"How is it my fault?" Leona asked "I didn't know that things would end up like this!"

"Now we have changed Sunset Valley completely and it's all your fault!" Jean yelled. "We don't even live in our home!"

Suddenly, Leona's cellphone rang.

"Hello?" Leona said.

"Leona, where are you and Jean?" It was Jean's father.

"Oh, uh, we're having... Uh, a sleepover at our friend's house..."

"Oh, okay, well, don't forget; tomorrow you have school at good old SimCity High."

"W-wait, SimCity High?" Leona said, confused.

"well yeah, we live in SimCity." Mr. Redfield said. "Oh, Jocasta is crying now, I better change her diaper."

"Wait, Jocasta?" Leona said confused.

"Yeah, she's your baby sister." He replied.

"Oh right... Uh, bye dad," Leona said. "Well in this timeline we have a baby sister named Jocasta and live in SimCity, Jean."

"What about Alex? He is dating Makayla in this timeline." Jean said. "Why did this happen?"

"I'm so confused too!" Astrid said.

"Well, since the Burgundys never moved out in this timeline, I guess we couldn't find another house here, so... We moved to SimCity." Leona said.

"I just checked my online account, and at least I still live here," Astrid said.

Suddenly, a handsome teenager walked by, and he actually recognized them.

"Leona? Jean? What are doing here?" He said.

"Enrico? You recognize us?"

"Of course, I'd always recognize you. You're my best friend when I lived in Twinbrook."

"Yay! Please, you must take us Mrs. Hall, we changed everything on accident!"

"What? What's happening?" Enrico asked.

"You know Mrs. Hall? She made time machine, we used it, and changed the timeline! Now, I know you probably don't believe me, but-"

"No, I believe you," Enrico said.

"You just believe that without proof?" Astrid said.

"Sure, I know Leona. She never lies." Enrico said. "Plus I always believed time travel could be possible."

Chapter 10: Evil
A woman stood in the city hall, she was the mayor of Sunset Valley. She had fulfilled her dream of becoming the mayor and had completely changing Sunset Valley from suburb to a big city, in this timeline.

Nina laughed out loud at the comment.
Her name was Vita Alto...
“Err, a-at least I would never yell at my mom!" Dina said, her face turned red. "I think I know who I could yell at right now however..."
----
----
Back to the Bistro.
Meanwhile, two policewomen were at the police station on patrol.
“Oops, I think I should go home now” Leona said looking at her smartphone. She just got a message from her mother to go home and helped cleaning the house.
“What about me?” Astrid said protesting.
“Don’t worry girl, you have Arlo here to accompany you” Leona said, “If you need something just call or send me a text, okay?”
“Oh, okay” Astrid said.
“Very well, see you later guys” Leona said leaving Astrid and Arlo in the Bistro.
After finishing their lunch, Astrid and Arlo only quiet in an awkward silence. “So, uh, you’re from Riverview right?” Arlo said starting a conversation.
“Y-yeah” Astrid said, “Have you gone to Riverview before?”
“Well, I have a friend there” Arlo claimed.
“Oh, I see...” Astrid said.
“So Astrid, do you have a boyfriend?” Arlo asked suddenly.
“Well, I used to have a boyfriend” Astrid said, “But we broke up since he said he couldn’t handle a long-distance relationship."

“Oh, sorry to hear that” Arlo said.
"Well, Officer Aria, I just got a report of two teenage twin girls are missing and they were seen in this town." Officer Harmony said.
“And how about you Arlo? Do you have a girlfriend?” Astrid asked.
“Me? Well, I was dating Cora Fransisco, but we broke up after I caught her cheating on me, with a guy from the Sports Club” Arlo claimed.
“Oh my gosh, it’s worse than my situation” Astrid said, “Sorry to hear that”.
“It’s okay” Arlo said, “By the way, do you want some desserts?” he asked.
“Nah it’s okay” Astrid said, smiling, “Thank you."
Arlo and Astrid then had a very nice chat. Astrid learned that Arlo’s father was working in Military Career while his mother was a scientist. Arlo also close to his older brother and sister, Ethan and Lisa, but, he had a little problem with Darlene who often teases him.
“Oh, I don’t know Darlene had that such of attitude” Astrid said.
“Well, Darlene is a nice girl actually, but she can be annoying sometimes...” Arlo said, “Especially when she starts pulling a prank on me, she filled my shower with pink hair dye last month."
“Maybe you should give her more pizza!” Astrid said jokingly
“Great idea, ha ha ha!” Arlo said, laughing.

"Hey, wait, your eldest brother is named Ethan Bunch?" Astrid asked.
"I see..."

"Yes."
If we catch them, their parents told us to transport them back to their hometown, SimCity." Officer Aria replied.
----
Leona, Jean, Astrid and Enrico were walking up the steps of the road between Old Pier Beach and where Mirabello Place used to be.

"That's my cousin's ex-boyfriend!" Astrid noticed.
"Oh, I miss Mirabello Plaza..." Leona said, "you know, Enrie, you used to work at a grocery store there in the original timeline..."

"Wait, your related to her?" Ethan said, surprised.
"Oh really?" Enrico said. "I wonder if I'm dating anyone."

"Yeah, I am." Astrid said. "It's a small world after all."
"..." Leona said nothing.
In the middle of their conversation, Astrid’s cellphone suddenly rung. Astrid then answered the call, it was from her mother, Felicia.
“Triddy, where are you? Your cousin Nia and her family are here visiting us!” Felicia said on the phone.
“Oh, okay, I will be home soon, see you later mom!” Astrid said.
“Is that your mother?” Arlo asked.
“Yeah, she said my cousin, aunt, and uncle are visiting us and I need to go home now” Astrid claimed.
“Well, let me accompany you then” Arlo said.
“Oh gosh, thanks Arlo, you are so nice...” Astrid said, “I think I’m starting to like you."
Arlo’s face blushed, “He he he, not a problem” Arlo said putting his hat on.

They walked across the street, heading to Astrid's home. However, a woman with bright red hair and a green shirt gazed at them. Then, she approached them.
"Guys... I feel weird..." Jean said. Suddenly, a yellow light enveloped Jean and Leona. When it disappeared, Jean and Leona's clothes were different.

"What the f*ck? Why are you accompanying her?" She said.
Jean was wearing a red tank top and white shorts, and her glass were red. Leona was wearing bright purple jacket, and a black skirt. Their hair was not in ponytails either.

"Because I want her to be safe walking home..." Arlo said, suspiciously.
"Why did your clothes just change?" Astrid asked. "I think this is what you are wearing in this timeline!"

"Yeah, right. F***ing misogyny! You think a woman needs a man in order to be safe?" The woman asked.
"Of course!" Enrico said, "That's the latest fashion in SimCity too!"

"Hey, leave him alone!" Astrid said. "He is a good guy!"
"Oh no," Jean said. "I think our alternate bodies just changed. We're no longer wearing our blue and black dresses. This is bad, soon we could lose our memory of the original timeline!"

"Shut up! You just have internalized misogyny! This man is trying to rape you!" the woman said.
"What? I, I don't want to lose memories from then!" Leona said, she loved her memories in Sunset Valley. They were the best seven years of her life.

"No I'm not! I'm not a rapist!" Arlo defended himself.
Suddenly, they all saw someone in the park. It was Darlene, Bella, and Kaylynn, some of Jean and Leona's best friends.

"Yes you are." She yelled. "You took her on a date without bowing to her in the name of womanhood! If that's not the patriarchy, I don't know what is!"
"Oh look! It's Darlene, Kaylynn and Bella!" he said.

"Get away from us!" Astrid slapped the crazy woman.
"Oh yeah." Enrico said. "They are the lazy girls who never do anything, especially in school."

"Ow! How dare you slap me! You are betraying your gender!" She yelled, then ran away.
"That sounds nothing like them in our timeline," Jean said, "we were always doing things together,"

"Who the heck was that?" Astrid asked.
When they walked past the police station, the two policewomen saw the twins walking by. They perfectly matched the description the policewomen had.

"That's Floqueesha. She is a crazy feminist. I think she just got back from city hall for some women's rights protest." Arlo said.
"Hey, it's the missing twin girls!" Officer Harmony said, "Let's escort them back to their home now!"

"Wow. She is so annoying. I hope I don't see her again." Astrid said.
Chapter 11: Take them away
"Wait, officers, what do you mean you're taking us to SimCity?"

"Your parents are worried about you. And they found your cellphones had connected to a Sunset Valley internet station, instead of a SimCity one, so they call us to find you." Officer Harmony said.

"No, Astrid, you have to change the timeline, even if it means doing it without us." Jean said. "When you do, we will be in Sunset Valley again."

"Don't worry Astrid," Leona said. "You can do it."

The officers then took Jean and Leona into their car and they drive out through Sunset Valley's entrance.

"Well, I don't know you Astrid, but it seems you need to do it without them." Enrico said.

"I... I can do it..." Astrid said. "I can save the timeline."

When Enrico and Astrid arrived at Mrs. Hall's home, Enrico wished her good luck. He saw Astrid enter the time machine room, then enter the time machine.
----
----
Twelve years ago

Astrid was next to the Cornucopia house on Sun Song Lane. It was now 12 years ago, again. She saw the Curtiz family walking by on their stroller, then she ran past them and saw Chelsea's car approaching.

"Okay Astrid, I have to stop Makayla from being kidnapped and make it so the Burgundy family moves..." Astrid said to herself. "I can certainly do this..."

Chelsea ran into the house.

"Hello, my loser daughter!" She said. "I wanna spend the day with Makayla."

Then she was seen walking out. Astrid decided she would take Makayla and give her back to Lynda.

"Hey are you sealing her?" Astrid said.

"Of course I am, I'm her grandma anyway," Chelsea said.

"NOOOOO!" Astrid tackled Chelsea.

"Ow! You must be an agent! I must escape!" Chelsea said, she ran into her car and left Makayla. She drive off.

"Here you go, Mrs, Burgundy," Astrid said, giving Makyala to Lynda.

"Thank you, young lady. How can I ever repay you?"

"Well, an A+ in math twelve years from now would be nice!" Astrid joked.

"What?" Lynda said, confused.

"Oh, uh, never mind."

Chapter 12: Lyndily
After, Astrid then convinced 12-Years-Ago Lynda and Makayla to move away to another side of Sunset Valley. When she returned, Leona and Jean were in the time travel room. The timeline had been restored to almost normal, except Makayla was much nicer in this timeline. They soon returned to their home. The next day, Sunday, Jean, Astrid, and Leona brought a surprise for Lily on Mother's Day.

"Okay mom, I have a surprise," Leona said "For Mother's Day, which is today."

"It's from me too!" Jean said. "And Astrid even came up with it."

"Yep, I did," Astrid said with a straight face.

"Ooh, I can't wait to see it!" Lily said, excited. She covered her eyes... "I hope it's a new blouse, or maybe a new kitchen appliance,"

"Open your eyes," Leona said, and as Lily opened them, she saw Lynda Burgundy standing with Makayla.

"L-Lynda? Lynda Burgundy? Is that you?" Lily asked.

"Yeah, it's me, girl!" Lynda said, then she hugged her. "It's been so long!"

"Remember our adventures at the beach we always had in Riverview?" Lily said. "Ah, those were such good times."

"Well, I was hoping, do you want to go to the Old Pier Beach?" Lynda asked. "I missed the years we spent together."

Lily then had a flashback of the summer where her parents went on vacation during the summer, and Lily loved with Lynda and her grandparents. They always played together in a beautiful backyard, before they had cellphones and Internet.

"Those were the best days..." Lily said, then Lynda and Lily went to the Old Pier Beach.

"Ah, we did a good thing." Jean said. "Well, I need to borrow some books from the library, do you want to accompany me?"

"Of course" Leona said.

"Sure, there's nothing else for me to do." Astrid replied.

----
Meanwhile, in the library

The library had few people in it, and one of them was Nia Toadstool, Astrid's cousin, who was a young adult now. She was visiting her mom and dad and on break from the university. But now, she was studying another language, Mandarin Chinese. She looked for the "LANGUAGES" section in the library to find a book to study Chinese.

Suddenly, a 55 year old blonde woman approached her.

"She must be a librarian, maybe she can help me find a Chinese book" Nia thought.

"Ma'am, do you know where a book on Mandarin Chinese is?" Nia asked.

"Oh, of course, it's... In the back."

The woman took Nia to the back of the library, where there was some stairs leading to a door.

"Wait, this is that room above the bathroom where those windows are, but they're covered by curtains."

"Well, that's our extra supply of books," the woman said.

Nia walked into the room. She saw no books, but a room with a bed, a desk, a chair, a toilet, fridge, and shower. It looked like someone was living in there. The woman locked the door and suddenly Nia was scared.

"Well, well, well. You must be Astrid Toadstool." The woman said. "Do you remember me from 12 years ago? When you ruined my plans of indoctrinating my granddaughter to like the life of crime?"

"What? Who are you? I don't know who you are..." Nia said. "And my name isn't Astrid, it's Nia."

"Don't lie to me, Astrid! Remember me? It's Chelsea."

Nia brought her cellphone and texted Astrid.

Nia: IN LIBRARY'S SECRET ROOM HEEELLLLLP

"Hey no texting!" Chelsea took Nia's phone. "Dang it, you got a password."

Then she pushed Nia onto the chair and quickly tied her up.

"What's wrong with you, crazy lady!" Nia yelled.

"YOU AREN'T LEAVING UNTIL I LEARN WHERE YOU GOT TIME TRAVEL FROM ASTRID!"

Chapter 13: A La Biblioteca
On the way to the library, while Jean, Leona, and Astrid were walking Astrid suddenly received a text.

"Oh I get a text!" Astrid said.

"Who texted you?" Leona asked.

"My cousin Nia, she just arrived home from her first term at the university." Astrid said. "Let's see, the text says: "In Library's Secret Room Help"

"Secret room?" Leona said.

"I think I know exactly what they're talking about!" Jean said. "I remember hearing a rumor that the library's owner is living in there."

"Well, why would Nia be in there? And why is she asking for help?" Astrid wondered.

"Well, I need to get my book." Jean said, "You guys can go without me."

"I hope she's okay!" Leona said. While Jean entered the library, Astrid and Leona ran behind the library and saw there was some stairs leading to a door.

"That must be the secret room," Leona said, then they went to the top of the staircase.

"Why won't the door open?"Astrid wondered,

"It's locked," Leona said. "Maybe we could break it down."

----

"I'm telling you, crazy woman, I have no clue what you're talking about!" Nia said.

"12 years ago you ruined my plans of indoctrinating my granddaughter to like the life of crime!" Chelsea yelled, "and now the criminal career was running low and we needed some recruits! She would've been perfect!"

"That makes no sense, it's twelve years ago! I'm only 20 years old! Think about it!"

"I've done nothing but think about it! You must be a time traveler!" Chelsea exclaimed.

"Check my driver's license and you will see that I am definitely NOT Astrid!"

"If the Criminal Organization could get their hands on time travel technology just imagine the possibilities! You are going to tell me where you found this..." Then Chelsea pulled out a taser "...Or you'll be hit with this."

Suddenly the door was slammed open. Leona and Astrid came in.

"Well, well, well, two pretty teenage girls come into my room," Chelsea said.

"Nia! Why are you tied on a chair!" Astrid yelled.

"Astrid! Thank goodness you're here! This crazy woman is trying to hurt me! SHE'S CRAZY!"

Chapter 14: Saving Nia
"Oh, well, you're Astrid." Chelsea said. "How did you get in here? I locked the door."

"Doesn't matter, why are you tying up my cousin?" Astrid said.

"I thought this freak was you," Chelsea snarled.

"Hey!" Nia yelled.

"Where I come from, that's a compliment." Chelsea said "Anyway, since you're here, I was trying to figure out how you time traveled and stopped me from getting Makayla!"

"No, there's no way you'll know! Come on, Leona! Let's take her down!" Astrid said, then they got into a fighting position.

"Nice try, but you can't defeat me," Chelsea then hit a button, then she disappeared.

"What the? Where'd she go?" Leona said. Suddenly Chelsea was behind Astrid and Leona and she tackled them.

"AHHH! How'd she do that?" Astrid yelled.

"Run!" Leona yelled.

Astrid and Leona ran out of the library's room, and ran towards Mrs. Hall's house.

"We can use her machine and time-travel out of here!" Leona yelled.

"Great idea!" Astrid said, then they ran in the house. A man, Mrs. Hall, and a young boy were eating breakfast.

"Astrid? Leona?" Mrs. Hall said. "What are you doing?"

Astrid and Leona didn't answer and ran into the time-travel room, because they knew if they stopped Chelsea would catch up with them.

"Quick, set it to 3 hours ago!" Leona said.

"I'm on it!" Astrid said. "And I'll put it on 'body mode' so when we travel, we will enter our bodies,"

"Great idea!" Leona said, then they entered the machine. "We can fix this!"

Then they time traveled.

----

Suddenly, Astrid saw herself, standing next to a couch in her house. However, this wasn't the house she currently lived in, it was her old house in Riverview called "Mini Manor."

"What? Why am I here?" Astrid said, she checked her phone for the date. "Oh no... I set it to three months ago! I'm so clumsy!"

She was also wearing the outfit she wore on that day, a shirt with a "Nyan Cat" and some sweatpants. Her hair was also longer because this was before her haircut.

"Aw, my old haircut," Astrid said, looking in her old mirror.

"Hey, Vicky, it's time for bed," Astrid's mom, Felicia said.

"Aw man! I was just listening to a new singer who just released his first song, his name is Lance Lewis and he's so cute!" Vicky said. "Why does Astrid get to stay up?"

"Astrid is older, sweetheart," Felicia said "Your bedtime is 5:45pm. You listen to enough music anyway."

Astrid suddenly had deja vu because she remembered this night. It was the night her mom told her they were going to move.

"Hey Astrid, I have some news..." Felicia said.

"I know, I know, we are moving to Sunset Valley in 3 months," Astrid asked,

"How'd you know? Did dad tell you?" She asked.

"Um... Yeah..." Astrid said. "Yay!"

"I thought would be upset about this,"

"Well, Sunset Valley is where I met Leona last week,"

"What?" Felicia asked.

"N-nothing! Well anyway mom, I need to make a call, hehe..."

----

Leona was now in her body.

"Okay Astrid, now let's..." Leona then noticed she was wearing her prom dress in her bedroom.

"Huh? Why am I wearing this?" Leona said, "when am I?"

"Leona you look so beautiful!" Bella said, "Let's go show Jean and Alex!" Bella took Leona's hand and then they walked into the living room.

"Hi Alex and Jean, Darlene and I just finished making over Leona and... Tada!" Bella exclaimed.

"You look so beautiful Leona, I'm sure so many guys will ask you to dance!" Darlene said. "Oh yeah don't forget Enrico, he'll probably ask you for a date, ha ha ha!"

Leona's cellphone rang, it said unknown number. But she recognized it was Astrid's phone number.

"Oh I need to take this guys." Leona went into her room and answered.

"Leona, I accidentally set it to 3 months instead of 3 hours!"

"I think I know that! It's the night of my prom! I'm reliving my prom night!" Leona said.

"Oh that's great, are you going with Enrico?" Astrid asked.

"Well, not really, this was actually the night I fell in love with him!"

"Oh my gosh," Astrid said. "Well, go to your prom, relive it, and fall in love with him! That shouldn't be too hard!"

"It's more than that Astrid," Leona said, "there is going to be a fire tonight as well. And I save my rival Dina from the fire, then we become friends again."

"Oh my gosh, well, you can go relive your prom night. I must find a way to arrive to Sunset Valley." Astrid suddenly heard someone knock on her door. It was her cousin, but on her mom's side of the family, her name was Joy Flansburgh.

"And I think I know just the way. Bye Leona." Astrid said.

Chapter 15: Car ride and prom
Astrid went to the door and answered it. It was her cousin on her mom's side, Joy.

"Oh yeah, I remember this," Astrid thought. "She tells me about..."

"Hiya, Astrid! My family and I just returned from our fishing trip and guess what my mom caught a fish, my dad caught a fish, my brother caught a fish and everybody caught a fish! Isn't that great? I would invite you to our next fishing trip, but I don't have enough room in the boat." Joy said, she rambles a lot.

"Hey Joy, I was wondering if you could do a favor for me," Astrid said

"Of course I will," Joy said.

"I was wondering if you could drive me to Sunset Valley, it's really important."

"Sure."

"And I know you're going to say no, but..." Astrid paused. "Wait, do you just say sure?"

"Yeah, why not?" Joy said. "You always did so much for me when we were younger,"

"Well, then let's go now!" Astrid said.

----
6:00 pm

The prom finally started.

Leona sat at the same bench in the school, still having major deja vu, seeing all the same things happen. She knew Enrico would be here any second...

"Would you like a drink?" A voice said, It was Enrico...

"Oh, hi Enrie, how are you wanna dance- I mean, uh... I thought you weren't coming."

"Well I was so bored at home, plus I wanted to watch Annie here who came with Andrew,"

"Oh yeah, hehe, so uh, do you have a date?" Leona said.

"Oh well, not really," Enrico said. "Do you have a date? I heard three other guys asked you to prom,"

"Oh no," Leona said. "Not really,"

"Well, uh," Enrico became nervous "Do you want do dance with me?"

"Oh sure, let's go dance! Yeah!" Leona was still nervous, she didn't know when the fire was going to happen...

----

In Astrid and Joy's car...

"So anyway, last week my brother went to supermarket and he brought home a cat! And then we adopted the cat and we named it Mr. Whiskers and then my mom always play with him and he so cute and took so many pictures of him and he's so cute!" Joy said, rambling again.

"Can she drive any faster?" Astrid thought. They were on the highway between Riverview and Sunset Valley, and then it started getting dark...

Suddenly, they saw somebody with long blonde hair and the side of the road waving her arms.

"Oh she looks like she needs help!" Joy said, let's help her!"

Astrid sighed. Now the trip will take longer.

As the got closer to the woman, Astrid recognized her face, it was Chelsea.

"Oh no, don't let her in! Don't let her in!" Astrid said.

"Why?" Joy said. "I always wanted to help people. Hey ma'am, are you lost?"

Chapter 16: The Future?
Chelsea smiled, got in the car and said.

"Actually, I believe Astrid, Leona, and I, haven't really finished our little 'meeting' now," Chelsea said.

"Huh? Who's Leona?" Joy said.

"Oh, nobody, but Astrid, it's time to take you to another time period." Chelsea got a remote out, then suddenly, Astrid and Leona were in a futuristic building.

They were adults, and wearing matching white uniforms. They were in a business lot..

"Astrid!" Leona said "You're back!"

"Leona!" They hugged, but then looked around. "Where are we?"

Astrid and Leona looked at their phones. It was November 27th, 2045.

"What the? We are adults?" Leona was so confused. "Do we work here?"

"Aw, Leona, we work together in the same building!" Astrid said. Then they saw the logo of the company they worked for.

"Wait, this is called 'Chelsea Burgundy Incorporated' and we work here?" Leona asked.

"When did she create this?" Astrid said, concerned. "This used to be Doo Peas Corporate Tower!"

Suddenly, a big screen showed Chelsea's face on it.

"Good morning, employees. At the sound of the beep, breakfast time will be over, and you must begin to work again." Chelsea's video said.

"I'm confused..." Astrid said.

Suddenly, adult Jean walked by the two girls. She looked just like Lily did in their present.

"Hello, employee number 278 and employee number 279," Jean said.

"What? Jean, it's Astrid and Leona," Leona said.

"Shh! You guys know the rules! We can't use our real names when we are doing President Burgundy's tasks."

Then an adult Chris walked by, Leona and Jean's brother. His tag read employee number 456 "Hello, fellow employees, do you want to begin our Pledge of Allegiance to Chelsea?"

Astrid was staring at Employee 456, or Chris and she blushed a little. "Leona, your brother is really handsome..." She whispered. Astrid even thought he was better looking than Elliot.

Suddenly, every employee was looking at a flag and they said, "I pledge my allegiance to Supreme Leader of SimNation, Chelsea Lucy Burgundy, who has always done great things for the country,"

Astrid and Leona even did the salute, as if they had done it for years already.

"Anyway, Employee 279," Chris said to Astrid. "Do you wanna buy a Chelsea Burger from the snack stand before work, babe?"

"Wait, we're married?" Astrid said, in surprise... "I'm Astrid Redfield?"

"Of course, ever since Chelsea set the Arranged Marriage Law up in 2021, the matchmaker picked us to be married." Chris said. "You should know this."

"What else has Chelsea done?" Astrid asked.

"Well, she has invented every major invention in the past 30 years, like cellphones, electric cars, laptops, time travel, and she became the leader of SimNation in 2019." Chris said.

"She never invented those things..." Astrid said. Leona ran to Astrid.

"Astrid, I think that she has used time travel to plagiarize those inventions, and became supreme leader. That's why we're working for her, she changed the history..." Leona said.

"Wow..." Astrid said.

"Yep, and also, I learned my own future... I got married to Sandi French..."

"What? You're married to a girl?"

"Apparently, in this universe, marriage isn't about love anymore. It's only for families. And all families have adopted kids because WooHoo is outlawed by Chelsea." Leona said. "I also learned that Jean is married to my former boyfriend Enrico!"

"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry..." Astrid said. "But hey, I got an attractive man for my husband, at least, hehe..."

"Astrid! We have to learn where Chelsea keeps her time travel equipment so we can go back and erase this timeline. The future isn't set! This future is only one possibility, but we can change it!"

"I understand..." Astrid said.

They turned around to see a younger guy getting married to an old man.

"What the heck?" Astrid said. Then Chris walked to her side.

"Hehe, that's my high school rival Lance getting married to Big Steve Underwood!" Chris said. "Thank Chelsea I got married to a woman!"

Astrid arrived to her should, finally.
"Lance, you may now kiss the groom," the priest said.

"Thanks for the lovely date, Arlo." Astrid said, then kissed his cheek. "I can't wait to see you at school!"
Lance looked disgusted. "No, I don't want to-" *KISS*

"Same here!" Arlo said, blushing.
Wow, Big Steve Underwood seems eager to kiss him..." Leona said. "This is gross... Not because it's two men but because it's a forced marriage. No one should be forced to marry someone they don't like..."

Astrid walked inside, took off her backpack, and plopped on the sofa. "Today has been a looong day... Time to rest."
"What are you talking about, Employee 278?" Jean said, "This is how our beloved leader wants us to live."

Suddenly, her mom walked in. "Astrid! Come on the kitchen! Your cousin and uncle and aunt are here!"
"Yes, we are all supposed to follow Chelsea's orders and laws." Chris said.

"Why?!?!?" Astrid said weakly. "I just wanna rest."
"Leona, I think in the future everyone is brainwashed by Chelsea!" Astrid whispered.

Chapter 1: New student[edit | edit source]

A few hours before the epilogue of A Sim's Tale: Book 2...

Astrid Priscilla Toadstool was beginning her first day of eleventh grade. She was kind nervous to begin school, because she just moved to Sunset Valley yesterday. She was worried that her classmates wouldn't be as good as they were in her last town, Riverview. She was also worried because she heard three months ago, there was a fire in this school

Especially after she left behind her best friend, and boyfriend Elliot Briody. They had been friends for six years and afterwards, they had fallen in love. But her dad announced that they would be moving to Sunset Valley because he got a job offer there. Of course he took it.

Astrid in the bus

Astrid stepped foot on the bus. She shifted into a seat in the middle. She got some weird looks for being a newcomer to the school. No one knew who she was.

She put her headphones in, listening to her favorite country song, "Sheeky Fab Een Gern" by Luke Bryan. Minutes later, the bus stopped, and she noticed two twin girls, and a young boy enter the bus. The twins sat across from her, and since there was only one seat left (Astrid's seat) the young boy sat next to her. Astrid rolled her eyes. She wanted to be alone right now.

When they arrived at Sunset Valley Community School, Astrid was surprised that everyone had different ages here. She saw kindergarteners, elementary school children, middle school kids, teens, and some who haven't had enough credits to graduate yet.

"What diversity..." Astrid said. "I hope they have a basketball team."

Astrid's first class was P.E., her favorite. "Ah, yeah! I love P.E. so much. Hopefully there will be less lazy girls here."

She went to the locker room, dressed into her athletic wear, then asked the teacher a question.

"Ms, will there be any room on the basketball team for me to join?" She asked the teacher.

"Of course, if you have the skill. I'll set up a tryout for you during lunch, be here."

"Okay, thank you."

Astrid's second class was Simlish, which she found kind of boring. They read a boring story. Her third class was Science, and her fourth class was World History.

After world history, lunch finally came. Astrid quickly ate her sandwich as she walked to the gymnasium.

When she went there for tryouts, she sat on the bleachers for a moment. Suddenly, a prankster pulled her shoelaces from underneath.

"You've been pranked!" The blonde haired prankster yelled, then went to sit with her friends in the tribune.

"Aw, come on!" Astrid yelled, then proceeded to tie her shoes.

"Hey, you newcomer, come here!" A voice was heard, from a blonde haired, tan skinned basketball player.

"Y-yes, what's wrong?" Astrid asked.

"Well, our captain of the women's basketball team here wants to see your athletic prowess," the girl said.

"Err, I don't know..." the girl.

"Come on, don't be nervous Toads... err..." The blonde girl wracked her brain to remember the girl's name.

"The name's Astrid Toadstool" she reminded.

"Okay, thanks," the captain said, "So Astrid, if you don't mind, I really wanna see your ability".

"Well, if that's so... Okay" Astrid said, a little nervous. She didn't know these girls very well, so she hoped they wouldn't laugh at her.

Astrid later showed off her magnificent skill, everyone saw it in awe.

"Impressive, Astrid" the captain said, clapping her hands.

"Y-yeah, thanks captain!" Astrid said, relieved that they were impressed.

"Well Astrid, what about a one-on-one?" The captain said, challenging Astrid.

"Wait a minute? Are you sure?" Astrid surprised.

"Pretty sure"

"Well, okay" Astrid answered.

Everyone became silent, both the caption and Astrid were ready in their position. At the tribune, four teenaged girl watched. The referee tossed the ball on the air, both the captain and Astrid jumped to get it.

"Aha! Got it!" Astrid thought. As she dribbled the basketball down the court. The captain was quick on her feet, and then she stole the ball.

The captain dribbled the basketball down to her basket, she shot a basket but suddenly...

"Hiya!" Astrid blocked the ball before it could land. She had ahold of it now. She dribbled back to her side, then made a basket!

"We have a winner!" The referee said. "Astrid... Er... What's your middle name?"

"I will never say my middle name..."

"Whatever... Astrid Toadstool!" The other teammates clapped for their new teammate.

"You, um... You play well." The captain said, panting.

Leona Redfield

"I know," Astrid said proudly.

"How about we have some lunch together then?"

"Sure! Let's go now."

"By the way, the name's Leona Redfield."

"Nice to meet you. Your last name... Redfield... It sounds familiar," Astrid thought.

"Okay, well let's go to the cafeteria before Darlene eats all the pizza!"

Chapter 2: More friends[edit | edit source]

In the cafeteria, Leona led Astrid to her lunch table, full of her friends.

"Hey guys, meet my new friend, Astrid Toadstool. Astrid, this is Jean, my twin sister, and my friends Bella Bachelor, Mortimer Goth, Kaylynn Langerak, Darlene Bunch, Dina Caliente, and Ale- well actually... Nevermind"

"Nice to meet you," Astrid said to everyone.

"Please, sit down Astrid!" Bella invited. Astrid took a seat next to Jean and Mortimer.

"So Astrid, what's your story? We wanna get to know you." Kaylynn said.

"Yeah, what was it like in your old town?" Darlene asked, eating a pizza slice.

"I used to live in Riverview. But I didn't like it all that much."

"Why not?" Bella asked.

"Well as you know Riverview is a very old fashioned town. So many girls who lived there in my childhood were really girly. They played with dolls, wore pink, and I stuck out like a sore thumb at school. I always liked to play in the mud with dump truck toys. The neighborhood girls, Tatiana Ivanov, Carlotta Lobos, Anita Lobos, Kirsten Remington and Susie Broke always never let me play with them. They called me a clumsy, sloppy, tomboy. And I was always sad..."

"Aw, that's too bad." Leona said.

"But I always had my father, my cousin Nia, and my boyfriend as my friends..." Astrid told them. "And I survived..."

"Well Astrid, we accept you." Leona replied. "We aren't mean like them."

"Yeah!" Kaylynn said. "Since one of our friends moved, we always felt a little empty at our table."

"Thank you guys," Astrid smiled. She now had more friends than she ever imagined. "So Leona, Jean, tell me about your family."

Leona told Astrid about the Redfield family. She told her about her politician father, her cook mother, her younger brother Chris, and her adopted brother Charlie.

"Nice family. So, Leona do you want to come to my home after school? I have a soccer net it my yard and we can play some."

"Okay, cool, sure."

"Hey which class do you have after lunch?" Astrid asked.

"I have Simology, with Mr. Wolff." Leona answered.

"Me too, let's go put our backpacks in there."

They went into the Simology class and set their backpacks down. Astrid sat at a three person table, next to Leona and a blonde haired boy with a hat. Astrid chatted with Leona but noticed he stared at her too much, making her uncomfortable...

"Is something wrong?" Astrid asked.

"Huh? Oh n-nothing..." He said. Then he looked away.

"Oh, that's Darlene's brother, Arlo. I sit next to him in here."

"He seems kind of... strange," Astrid said. " I hope the teacher doesn't call on me..."

"Is the quivering new girl scared?" A brown-haired girl with pink highlights asked from behind.

"Shut up! You... Er..."

"The name's Makayla, I'm the f#&@ing queen of this school. Don't get in my way."

"Well, Makayla. I don't like your attitude." Astrid said.

"Trying to act tough in front of the queen, eh?" Makayla asked.

"Astrid, you don't wanna be on her bad side, trust me." Leona whispered.

"That'll be hard..." Astrid mumbled, showing a clear distaste for Makayla.

Chapter 3: Burgundy household[edit | edit source]

"So, Astrid, since school's over can I go to your home, and meet your family?" Leona asked.

"Of course, you're my new friend after all," Astrid replied.

Astrid and Leona sat on the bus in the front seats. As the bus drove down the road, Astrid began to hum a tune.

"Mon-zay-noo, mon-zee-wa, ippy-nooboooooo, oh nooboo, shay-zaw..."

"What's that song?" Leona asked.

"Oh, it's a song that I learned while my family went to France last summer." Astrid said. "It's so catchy. I sing it whenever I'm doing chores."

"You're singing is so good, Astrid!" Leona complimented. "Do you have the Virtuoso trait?"

"No, I don't..." Astrid admitted. "But I'm a better singer than my cousin. She's not so good."

"Hehe, yeah. My sister isn't a very good singer either." Leona said, then they laughed.

When they arrived to Astrid's house, Leona walked in her.

"Nice house"

"Thanks," Astrid replied. Suddenly, Leona spotted a blonde haired girl in the corner. She appeared to be talking to herself...

Vicky Toadstool

"I know, Jelly Bean. I can't believe I got sick on the first day of school!"

"That's my sister, Victoria." Astrid whispered "She always talks to herself, it's weird..."

"I think I may know why..." Leona said.

"Huh? Well anyway, let's go to my room."

They both walked to Astrid's bedroom. Then Leona held her nose.

"Ew! It's so dirty in here!" Leona yelled. "Does that plate have mold on it?"

"Who cares? It's just my room." Astrid said. "Plus, I have the slob trait."

"Well, I have the neat trait!" Leona yelled. "I can't believe we have conflicting traits."

"Well since my parents are so busy with their new job, they haven't had any time to clean." Astrid told her. "I think my mom will hire a maid."

"Do you want to play some soccer outside now?"

"Sure thing,"

In the Burgundy household

Burgundy house

"Honey, h-how was school?" Mrs. Burgundy asked.

"It was horrible, it sucked, just like usual." Makayla replied.

"Wait, Makayla what are you wearing?" Her mother asked, seeing Makayla's outfit. She had super short shorts, and a tank top that showed her stomach.

Makayla's argument

"Oh, #$%@ I forgot to change into my fake clothing..."

"That's it! Go to the backyard without your cell phone and think about what you've done!"

"No!!!! I hate the outdoors!"

"OUTSIDE, NOW!" Mrs. B yelled. It was strange, such a nice lady getting so angry and upset.

"Oh, Makayla... Why did I ever introduce you to your grandmother..." Suddenly, she started to have a flashback...

Twelve years ago

Lynda was teaching her daughter how to walk, when suddenly, Lynda's mother Chelsea Burgundy walked in.

"Hey there, my loser daughter. I wanna spend the day with Makayla." She said.

"Mom? I thought I told you you weren't allowed in my house..." Lynda said.

"Shut up, idiot. I'm your mother and I can do whatever I want!" Chelsea then picked Makayla up.

"Okay now, Makayla, time to teach you what fun life is like!" Chelsea said, as she threw Makayla in the backseat...

"NO! MY BABY!!" Lynda yelled... She couldn't believe her evil mother just stole her daughter. "Only the player could know what she's doing with her..." Lynda started crying.

It was 3 days later, Chelsea and Makayla returned... Chelsea had spoiled Makayla and turned her into a horrible person. Makayla was saying curse words, pranking all the neighbors, and even flirted with boys, twice her age...

In the present Makayla sat in her backyard, very angry at her mom. Suddenly, she looked over her fence to see that the new girl and Leona Redfield were having a soccer game in their yard.

"Those athletic $@#$% live right next to me, hmmm. Maybe I could do a hilarious prank on them..."

Chapter 4: Picnic basket prank[edit | edit source]

"Goal, Astrid!! You win!!!" Vicky yelled. "A-achoo!"

"Vicky, you should seriously go inside and get some rest." Astrid said. "You're sick."

"Okay..." Vicky went inside.

"So Astrid, now that we finished your soccer game, what do you want to do now?" Leona asked.

"Well... I was think we could-"

Suddenly a picnic basket flew through the air and landed into their yard.

"Where did that come from?" Leona said, then picked it up. "What's inside?" She opened it up, then screamed!

"AHHH! SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA!" She yelled, then ran to the other side of the yard.

"You must really hate iced tea..." Astrid said, confused on why she yelled that.

"NO! Look inside!"

Astrid looked inside then ran to Leona. "Who put a beehive in there? Now the bees are so angry! DAD!!!"

No one answered.

"Oh no, I forgot. My dad is still at work!"

"Astrid, I'm so afraid of bees!"

"Me too!"

"What do we do? They will come here eventually!" Leona said, then hugged Astrid in fear.

"I-I don't know!"

Suddenly, no sounds happened from the picnic basket. Then they heard laughing sound.

"HA HA HA HA HA! OH MY GOSH, HA HA HA HA HA, I CAN'T EVEN!"

"Who is laughing? Astrid asked. Suddenly, the mean girl from school, Makayla entered their yard.

"M-Makayla?" Astrid asked.

"I got you so goodly!" Makayla laughed. "It's not a real beehive! It's fake, and I put my phone in there to make a bee buzzing sound!"

"Why would you do that to us?" Leona asked. "I'm telling your mother! Come on, Astrid!"

"NOOOOO! I'm already in trouble for my outfits!!" Makayla ran after them.

In Makayla's living room, her mother was wondering what was going on.

"Who are you?" She asked.

"Mrs. Burgundy, it's us, your students Leona and Astrid!"

"Oh right, you're in my math class..."

"Your daughter just pretended to attack us with bees!"

"MAKAYLA! Why? WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH YOU?" Lynda yelled.

"I didn't! They're lying!"

"Yeah right! I don't believe you after you lied so much!" Lynda yelled. "I'm taking you to the library after school as punishment!"

"NOOOOO!" Makayla yelled. "I DON'T WANNA BE IN THE SAME PLACE AS THE NERDS ARE!"

"Now go to your room now!" Makayla went to her room.

Chapter 5: Back At School[edit | edit source]

The next day in the school, a child with blonde hair in pigtails walked inside. It was Vicky.

"Finally, my flu is gone. I can't wait to meet my classmates." Vicky said to her imaginary friend, JellyBean.

"Wait a second, please don't replace me!" JellyBean said.

"Don't worry JellyBean, I'd never do that." Vicky said. "ooh, how about him!"

She pointed to Chris Redfield, a child as well.

"Hi, I'm Vicky" she said.

"I'm Chris" he responded.

"Hey, do you like music?" Vicky asked.

"Yes! My dad even says he will buy me a guitar when I become a teenager." Chris said.

"Well, I hear if you like music, maybe you could go to a concert that will happen in the stadium next week."

"Great idea! I'll even invite my best friend Tamera!" Chris then ran over to a girl with black hair and purple eyes.

"Wait, he didn't realize I was flirting with him?" Vicky asked.

"What was that?" Astrid asked.

"Uh NOTHING!" Vicky said. "My sister will never know my crushes!" She thought.

"Hehe, okay..." Astrid said. Suddenly, she passed by a mirror in the hall. And looked at herself. She sighed.

"Maybe one day I will be my true self..." Astrid said to herself, looking in the mirror. "If only people would understand..."

"Hey girl!" Jean said to her. "Have you seen Leona? She actually wore something not black today! Astrid?"

Astrid stopped looking in the mirror. "Huh?"

"Were you even listening?"

"Sorry, I'm just depressed." Astrid said.

"Why?" Jean asked. "What's going on?"

"Well... uh..." She couldn't reveal her actual feelings. She had to think of something. "Just teenager stuff. Nothing important."

"Oh, okay. Well maybe I can take you to the theater after school to get your mind off it."

"You don't need to, it's fine." Astrid said. "Anyway, I, uh, better get to my class." she ran to the gym.

"Hey Jean." Leona, wearing a white T shirt, said, approaching Jean. "Is that Astrid?"

"Yes. I think she's hiding something from us." Jean said. "She seems depressed."

"Well, maybe I'll ask her. We have Simology class together 5th period."

Astrid sat on the floor in the gymnasium. She was all alone because most students were having their breakfast. She sat on the floor and began to cry. Astrid normally doesn't cry, because she's a tough girl, but something was wrong.

Chapter 6: Astrid's feelings[edit | edit source]

Later on, it was Simology class with Mr. Wolff. Astrid and Leona sat down in their chairs.

"So Astrid, I heard you are depressed for some reason," Leona said.

"What? Where... Where did you hear that?"

"Jean told me you were acting depressed this morning."

"Oh, um, well yeah, I am a little sad." Astrid said. "It's because of my boyfriend, Elliot broke up with me. He couldn't handle a long distance relationship."

"Oh, I see..." Leona said. "I know Jean was sad when her boyfriend left."

"Well, I'm just going to need some time to get used to it." Astrid said.

"Maybe you can get another boyfriend in this school. There's many cute guys here." Leona suggested.

"Yeah, boys are "so cute" here..." Astrid sarcastically said.

Then a boy sat next to Astrid, it was Arlo Bunch.

"Hey there, ready for the test?" He asked.

"Oh no!" Astrid said. "I forgot to study!"

"Don't worry about me, Jean helped me last night." Leona said, "I'm ready."

"Oh no, I always fail in this class!" Astrid panicked.

"Well, I can help you study before class starts." Arlo said.

"Oh, I remember!" Astrid said. "We learned this in Riverview last year. Thanks."

"So, do you want to go to the Bistro after school with me?" Arlo asked.

"Huh? Oh it's okay. I was planning on going to the new movie that just came out with Leona." Astrid said, then walked over back to Leona.

"Astrid, I think Arlo was asking you on date! I think he has a crush on you."

"No, he just asked me if I wanted to go to a Bistro anyway." Astrid said. "What is a Bistro?"

"The Bistro is where people go on dates to eat." Leona said.

"Wait... there's food there?" Astrid asked.

"YES." Leona said.

"I'll be right back, I'm telling Arlo that maybe I might go." Astrid said.

"That's my girl!" Leona said.

Chapter 7: The Date[edit | edit source]

After school, Leona accompanied Astrid waiting for Arlo at the Bistro. Astrid took the menu on the table and found that the price of the food were a little expensive. She also looked at her surroundings, everyone who came to the restaurant wore their formal suits. “Leona, I think we should go home first for change our clothing” Astrid said. “Nah, it’s okay” Leona said, “since we’re eating outside, it’s okay if we don’t wear formalwear” “Oh, okay” Astrid said, “By the way, do you have boyfriend?” “Yeah, he’s working in that grocery store” Leona answered pointing at the grocery store which located across the street, “We’re just dating for three months." “How do you know him?” Astrid asked.

Meanwhile in another place. “Don’t say that about your teacher, young lady!” Lynda yelled, “He’s your teacher! Give him some respect!” “Whatever! Take me home now, I’m tired!” Makayla said. At the corner, Dina, Nina, and Darlene watched. “Jeez, that girl is sooooo annoying...” Dina commented. “Well, she's kind of similar with someone in our group” Darlene said smirking at Dina.

Nina laughed out loud at the comment. “Err, a-at least I would never yell at my mom!" Dina said, her face turned red. "I think I know who I could yell at right now however..."

Back to the Bistro. “Oops, I think I should go home now” Leona said looking at her smartphone. She just got a message from her mother to go home and helped cleaning the house. “What about me?” Astrid said protesting. “Don’t worry girl, you have Arlo here to accompany you” Leona said, “If you need something just call or send me a text, okay?” “Oh, okay” Astrid said. “Very well, see you later guys” Leona said leaving Astrid and Arlo in the Bistro. After finishing their lunch, Astrid and Arlo only quiet in an awkward silence. “So, uh, you’re from Riverview right?” Arlo said starting a conversation. “Y-yeah” Astrid said, “Have you gone to Riverview before?” “Well, I have a friend there” Arlo claimed.

“Nah it’s okay” Astrid said, smiling, “Thank you." Arlo and Astrid then had a very nice chat. “Well, Darlene is a nice girl actually, but she can be annoying sometimes...” Arlo said, “Especially when she starts pulling a prank on me, she filled my shower with pink hair dye last month." “Maybe you should give her more pizza!” Astrid said jokingly “Great idea, ha ha ha!” Arlo said, laughing.

"Hey, wait, your eldest brother is named Ethan Bunch?" Astrid asked.

"Yes."

"That's my cousin's ex-boyfriend!" Astrid noticed.

"Wait, your related to her?" Ethan said, surprised.

"Yeah, I am." Astrid said. "It's a small world after all." In the middle of their conversation, Astrid’s cellphone suddenly rung. “Oh gosh, thanks Arlo, you are so nice...” Astrid said, “I think I’m starting to like you." Arlo’s face blushed, “He he he, not a problem” Arlo said putting his hat on.

They walked across the street, heading to Astrid's home. However, a woman with bright red hair and a green shirt gazed at them. Then, she approached them.

"What the f*ck? Why are you accompanying her?" She said.

"Because I want her to be safe walking home..." Arlo said, suspiciously.

"Yeah, right. F***ing misogyny! You think a woman needs a man in order to be safe?" The woman asked.

"Hey, leave him alone!" Astrid said. "He is a good guy!"

"Shut up! You just have internalized misogyny! This man is trying to rape you!" the woman said.

"No I'm not! I'm not a rapist!" Arlo defended himself.

"Yes you are." She yelled. "You took her on a date without bowing to her in the name of womanhood! If that's not the patriarchy, I don't know what is!"

"Get away from us!" Astrid slapped the crazy woman.

"Ow! How dare you slap me! You are betraying your gender!" She yelled, then ran away.

"Who the heck was that?" Astrid asked.

"That's Floqueesha. She is a crazy feminist. I think she just got back from city hall for some women's rights protest." Arlo said.

"Wow. She is so annoying. I hope I don't see her again." Astrid said.

Astrid arrived to her should, finally.

"Thanks for the lovely date, Arlo." Astrid said, then kissed his cheek. "I can't wait to see you at school!"

"Same here!" Arlo said, blushing.

Astrid walked inside, took off her backpack, and plopped on the sofa. "Today has been a looong day... Time to rest."

Suddenly, her mom walked in. "Astrid! Come on the kitchen! Your cousin and uncle and aunt are here!"

"Why?!?!?" Astrid said weakly. "I just wanna rest."

To be continued
