Samuel was surprised to see his own son. He attempted to embrace Jared, as if all were forgiven and forgotten. Jared on the other hand, had no interest of getting to know Samuel. He turned his back on his father, and the fortune he was offered. Jared wanted to make his own way into the world, with money that he had worked hard to earn. This left him homeless and simoleonless.
Jared walked through the neighbourhood, wondering what to do with himself. He had recently accepted a job as a test subject, in the science career. He came across a peculiar house, with a roof shaped like a witches hat. Jared decided to knock on the door, to see what kind of sim lived there. Bianca and [[Beatrice Crumplebottom|Beatrice]] were jealous of their sister. Bianca wanted to claim Jared for her own. Beatrice wanted it to go back to the way they were, three unmarried sisters. Jared had no idea what was going on. He was constantly under a spell that made him either love Bianca, or hate Belinda. Once the spells were broken, Belinda told him that she had to give all of their fortune to her sisters, and they no longer lived with them.
