After a night out with his wife, the couple were driving home when the vampire that Jeremy encountered 2 years ago appeared in front of them. Jeremy asked him to move, then the vampire break out trying to kill him. Jeremy tried to ward him off with spells, but he missed, and the vampire incinerated Jeremy, while throwing his wife on a nearby river, drowning her.

*Jeremy never knew about the birth of Arielle, nor did he know that his wife slept with another man during their split, as Alex didn't feel the need to tell him and that Whit was completely gone from her life.
