Quickly, however, tragedy struck again, literally: Charles, Midge AND Roberto were squished by a satellite that fell from outer space. Marcia was wrecked and she fell in a dark depression. She had to hire a nanny, [[Mallory Day]], to take care of Paulette and Gilbert as she was really dim and had to spend most of her time in bed. She also had to quit as she couldn't even go to work.

After years of deep depressiveness, Marcia got finally back on her feet, yet she was still physically weak and could not take a job. Paulette and Gilbert, who had become teens (and who went steady together), a to take part-time jobs to allow the family to gain some cash (despite their insistence, Marcia solidly refused to beg for money from her dark and twisted family). They did not want to let Marcia alone and they sacrificed university to remain with her and to take care of her.

Marcia spent most of her time reading in her bed, and she also wrote 5 books herself: those were sad stories based on one sorrowful part of her life each: her mother not really caring of her, the discovery of her family's evilness, her friends' divorces, her husband's death, and her depression.

Paulette and Gilbert got married and they got a daughter, [[Fanon:Emma Dortheimer|Emma]], who illuminated Marcia's life. She spoiled her a lot and she fianlly was really happy after all these years of sadness. She finally wilted after some years of sunshine, and she was buried next to her husband.
