Most [[Sims]] are registered Republicans, which is somewhat unusual for a state located so high up in the north. Sims tend to be anti-abortion and anti-gay marriage.
Simazonya's governor since 2010 is Republican Parker P. White, whose father, Raymond White (also an Republican) has been one of the states senators since 1985. The state's other senator, inaugurated in 2011, is Donna Rai Byrd, unsurprisingly a Republican.
