As a young adult, Vanessa moved into a residence by herself as she preferred to be alone and study. She studied art and was good at it mainly because she had nobody to distract her. Around this time, her brother got in touch with her and he told her he was at a different college but wanted to tell her life at home was bad without her. Vanessa replied kindly but made it clear she WAS NEVER COMING HOME TO THOSE BIGOTS, EVER AGAIN! He didn't write again. Around this time, Vanessa began dropping grades when she began going down to the local coffee shop and meeting new friends. She soon realised that she was not getting enough to pay for her bills and rent so she applied for a room mate. The room mate turned put to be the beautiful Imogen Space. Vanessa immediately liked her and Imogen soon realised that she liked her back. They began dating and everything went great until the abduction. Vanessa never meant to be taken but one night when looking into the sky she saw something in front of her and realised it was a spaceships. She screamed and cried but nobody heard her. A few hours later she was thrown out but she soon realised something. She was carrying an alien baby! She thought Imogen would be horrified but instead she was fine as aliens were normal to her. She even agreed to adopt the baby! The baby was born and they named him Charlie. Just as everything was going great, Vanessa and Imogen went to a party where the local (rich) womaniser, [[Malcolm Landgraab IV|Malcolm]] was. He ignored Vanessa as he considered her to be too 'arty' and went straight to Imogen. Imogen was drunk and he easily seduced her. Vanessa saw him a leading a woman up to a bedroom but she never suspected it to be Imogen. She decided to enjoy the party until she heard Imogen laugh and went up and found her and Malcolm woohooing. She was furious and sent Imogen out the house and was horrified when Imogen moved in with Malcolm. She graduated but only just.
==Adulthood==
As an adult, Vanessa bought a small apartment in Bluewater village where she and Charlie lived. It was a hard life, juggling bills, work, a baby and fees for a nanny. She wished Imogen was with her but soon found out she had moved away into the countryside. Vanessa was depressed. Life with Charlie was hard and she soon took to drinking. She became aggressive and hated Charlie because he was an alien and Imogen had had alien blood in her family. She smashed glass bottles everywhere so the apartment was always a mess and Charlie's life was miserable. One day, Charlie was hungry and asked her for food but she said he was ungrateful so she sent him out of the house... Vanessa struggled with the fact that Charlie went to Imogen and began overdosing on Alcohol. Vanessa became depressed and lost the will to live. She died after being crushed by her own murphy bed. The only people to attend her funeral was her uncle and aunt.
