'''Vin Curious''' was the son of [[Fanon:Joshua Curious|Joshua]] and [[Fanon:Tiffany Curious|Tiffany Curious]]. He had a younger half sister called [[Fanon:Harper Curious|Harper]], however he thought she is his full sister.

==Biography==
===Babyhood===
When Vin was born, his father [[Fanon:Joshua Curious|Joshua]] couldn't be happier. He was glad to welcome the baby boy, as it had been a while since one was born in the family. He was often put together with his niece [[Fanon:Deena Smith|Deena]], who was just a few days older. Although his mother [[Fanon:Tiffany Curious|Tiffany]] took plenty of time off from work, he spend little time with her and was mostly taken care of by his father and aunt [[Fanon:Camryn Curious|Camryn]].
===Toddlerhood===
Joshua still spends the majority of his time with Vin, teaching him how to walk and talk. Tifanny surprisingly jumps back into her work, making it so that she can't spend a lot of time with Vin, which often makes him really sad. She did teach him how to use the potty which he cherished deeply as it was the only time he got all his mother's attention. He plays a lot with Deena, which he loves and learns that Tiffany is [[pregnancy|growing another baby]], giving him a sibling real soon. His sister [[Fanon:Harper Curious|Harper]] is born just before he starts school.

Moving on to school Vin is put in [[SimCity Academy]], a private school most of the Curious members went to. Besides himself, his cousin Deena and later his sister Harper are also accepted into this school. He loved school and thought the uniforms they had to wear were really cool. At home things were tough as he noticed tension between his parents, although he wouldn't know why. He would often try to make them laugh and have a good time, and promise them he would look out for his little sister Harper.
In school he also met distant relative [[Fanon:Emma Curious|Emma Curious]], who he befriended and also always cheered up whenever she was a little moody.
===Teenhood===
Starting high school, Vin is sad to have lost touch with Emma as she promised the two would stay close. He luckily still finds a lot of support and friendship in his cousin Deena and is very protective of his sister Harper, much to her annoyance.
He was not as social as Deena and did not make many friends in school, which didn't seem to bother him so much. He noticed tension between his parents and his uncle and aunt rise, to the point that the four would barely communicate with each other. Even though he did not know why he did his best to make sure that Harper did not catch any of it which seemed to work for a while until she grew older. Although Deena encouraged him to date and tell him how much fun it is, seeing she was dating [[Fanon:Keef Smith|Keef Smith]], Vin did not feel the need to date so he did not.
===Adulthood===
After graduating and after having gained enough investigating experience with his family, Vin decided to join the [[intelligence]] career. In a town like [[Strangetown]] with more mysteries than you can count it didn't seem like such a strange option.
When Harper convinces him and drags him out into town, he meets [[Fanon:Jessica Curious (DeSims)|Jessica Grunt]] and suddenly all the songs about love make sense to him. He is shy to approach her and is thankful when she finally does. The two chat all night and by the end of it he finally build up the courage to ask her out, to which she says yes. Jessica is slightly older than Vin, which he likes, and seems to have a lot of life experience. She tells him that she is a great believer in the [[paranormal]] and that her [[Pollination Tech 9 Smith|grandfather]] gave her the ability to talk with the hereafter. At first Vin thinks that she is joking, but when her face remains serious he realizes she is not. He can't help but chuckle as he doesn't really believe in any of that, but he thinks it doesn't hurt anyone if she does. Soon he realizes that this is the Sim he wants to spend his life with, so he proposes to her.
Vin is extremely proud to show Jessica off to his family and much to his delight they like her a lot. Even though Deena has left the family house to start her own family, Harper is still around and very happy with her new sister. Even his parents seem to have been getting along better and couldn't stop mentioning the possibility of grandchildren at their wedding. Luckily for them, this was something that was on Vin and Jessica's mind as well. Not long after their wedding Jessica announces that she is [[pregnancy|pregnant]]. Vin loves to see Jessica grow bigger every day, but he has a little trouble with her complaining about that she can't feel the spirits around her and although he would never say it to her, he wishes that she would just stop the whole ghost nonsense. Out of respect, and slight fear to end up like his parents, he decides to say nothing. He is overjoyed when his son [[Fanon:Sander Curious|Sander]] is born.
Hoping that this would be the end of Jessica's paranormal career and the start of their family, Vin enjoys spending time with his wife and newborn son, until one night Jessica proudly wakes Vin up telling her that she had a vision with her mother and grandfather in it. Annoyed for being waken up in the middle of the night, as well as Jessica still holding on to her "gifts" Vin lies and tells her he is happy for her, hoping it will be the end of it and he can go to sleep.
As Sander grows older Vin teaches him how to use [[toddler skill|the potty]], as Jessica doesn't seem to believe in training him and Vin is sick of changing one more diaper. He notices that Jessica is becoming more and more involved in her work and the paranormal, which often makes him wonder if he should say something or get her some help. Struggling to provide for his family AND taking care of Sander he decides to let her be and focus on those two things instead. He pushes for Sander to go to the same [[SimCity Academy|private school]] like he went, but Jessica is very much against it as it would taint his natural development. When Vin finds out that Jessica went to the same school herself, he calls her selfish and tells her he just wants what's best for his son. Ultimately she agrees and Sander goes to private school.
As Sander grows older, Vin would love another baby but feels like Jessica is not on the same page. Every time he brings it up she tells him now is not a good time. Vin is desperate and sees his marriage becoming more and more like his parents'. Jessica is distant and their [[WooHoo|love life]] suffers, but remains. Just a lot more... infrequent. To his surprise, after Vin had given up hope for another baby, Jessica announces that she is pregnant again. She doesn't seem happy about it at first, but then apologizes and says that she had just not expected it and is happy to have another beautiful child with him. Although Jessica never informs Vin about her work, he knows that this temporarily disconnection with the spirits is an inconvenience for her. As Sander moves on to high school his brother [[Fanon:Kenneth Curious|Kenneth]] is born. Expecting to have to step up again like with Sander, Vin prepares to take some leave to take care of Kenneth. To his surprise Jessica announces that she will take some time off from work to take care of Kenneth, allowing Vin to focus on his career.
Just like with Sander, Kenneth was potty trained by Vin as well. He can tell that Kenneth and Jessica are getting really close and besides being a little jealous, he is sometimes worried that Sander is feeling left behind. Sander himself would obviously never admit it, since he is in his teens and do what teens do at that time: share absolutely no feelings with their parents at all. When it comes to Kenneth going to school, Vin is ready to fight another battle for private school, but he is surprised when Kenneth voices that he would much rather go to public school and experience education with all sorts of Sims instead. Not wanting to force Kenneth to do something else, Vin agrees and they put him in public school.
===Elderhood===
When his hair starts to turn gray, Vin realizes it is time to retire from work, so he does. He notices a shift in Jessica where she realizes that she should spend some more time with the people here on this planet instead of in the afterlife. He knows that even though Sander is skeptical of her changes, he is happy to finally be able to communicate with his mother and introduce them to his girlfriend [[Fanon:Gretchen Curious|Gretchen Chin]]. As Sander and Gretchen become more serious in their relationship, unfortunately Jessica seems to become more and more distant again from her family and Vin. When Vin tries to talk to her about it and tells her that this might ruin not just their marriage but their whole family Jessica defends herself and tells him that this might be her biggest case ever and it might change the world.
When Sander and Gretchen get married, Vin is the one to give Gretchen away as her parents passed on already, but to his disappointment Jessica only shows up for a few hours before storming off to another one of her sessions. Sander is close to cutting his mother off, but Vin begs him not to do it. When Gretchen announces her pregnancy Vin hopes that this will pull Jessica back into their family and it does seem to work, but Sander has a hard time trusting her. When their grandson [[Fanon:Elijah Curious|Elijah]] is born Vin can notice tension every time Jessica wants to spend time with Elijah from Sander. As time goes by and it seems like Jessica is keeping her promise to spend more time with the family, Sander seems to relax a little. Much to Vin's shock he finds Jessica ice cold in their bed, as she passed away in her sleep. Heartbroken, they have a funeral. After Kenneth's graduation and with an empty house, Vin feels like his time here is done too. He passes of old age.
