'''A festival''' is added in ''[[The Sims 3: Seasons]]''. A few days into each [[Season|season,]], youthe player will get a notice that a festival has rolled into your town. There will be a special maptag for the festival site, which is one of the big parks in yourthe town. The activities, interactinginteractive objects and decorations will vary depending on the season. Doing various activities will earn tickets, which you can trade in at a concessions stand for prizes. The food that can be bought at a stand is themed to the season, like hot chocolate in winter and ice cream in summer. When no festival is going on, the festival grounds will be a regular park area.

==Holidays==
Holidays occur on the last Friday {or the last day, if no Friday is nearby} of a season. In spring, Love Day takes place, similar to Easter but especially Valentine's Day. In summer, Leisure Day. In fall, Spooky Day. On Spooky Day and the day before, teens and children can trick-or-treat. In winter, Snowflake Day.
