i know this may be a completely obvious question for most of you, but are you able to put more than one expansion on a single disc? if so does it appear as two different desktop icons? Blucatt10

:If you're talking about putting games onto a disc yourself (burning it onto a CD/DVD, for instance), I do not know. I also am not sure the legality of that sort of activity. Aside from that, if you install multiple expansions for one game, the icon of the newest expansion is usually the one you'll use. -- <font color="green">LostInRiverview</font> <font color="navy">talk</font> · <font color="navy">blog</font> 00:25, January 18, 2011 (UTC)

:I think it is possible, I've got The Sims 8 in 1 and it is just 3 CDs, so it should be around 3 or 4 expansions in a single disc. Someone created an awesome torrent somewhere, The Sims 2 and all expansions in a single iso file, which you have to manually install. It is amazing! I'll give a link if you want to. |_Andronikos Leventis 13:40, January 18, 2011 (UTC)

::Blucatt10, if you're talking about making a backup for personal use, I'm not sure how well it would work, or about the legality of doing it. Giving it to another person, or taking it from another person's computer, would be a different matter altogether. I am sure that what Andronikos is talking about is illegal. Using something like "8 in 1", or getting a game from a torrent, is something you do At Your Own Risk. Dharden (talk) 16:07, January 18, 2011 (UTC)

::Well, The Sims: 8 in 1 is a compilation pack by EA. Now, I thought (not making anyone furious) that Blucatt10 was using an illegaly owned copy of the game, because usually people who legally own the game are not interested. So I simply suggested a torrent that I recently saw somewhere. I also don't think it is going to be so illegal if you are a premium user. |_Andronikos Leventis 12:20, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

EA decides when and if they want to do that, and it's been done before. What you're talking about is a compilation pack, where the base game is combined with one or more expansions, or when multiple expansions are released together. You can see a list of compilations here.
If you're talking about putting games onto a disc yourself (burning it onto a CD/DVD, for instance), I do not know. I also am not sure the legality of that sort of activity. Aside from that, if you install multiple expansions for one game, the icon of the newest expansion is usually the one you'll use. -- LostInRiverview talk · blog 00:25, January 18, 2011 (UTC)
