Well, it's probably a bit too late to do anything now but if we really want a holiday-type theme just to see us through until the Spring, we could recycle [[Forum:Holiday theme?|last year's theme]]. I know it's not exactly original but it's still something. Personally I think doing anything at this point wouldn't be worth the time or effort but if everybody else wishes to pursue this then I'm not opposed to it.

I know the fluid layout caused numerous issues for us with themes, CSS and such but to be honest, the idea of a Christmas theme probably should have been bought up at maybe the start of December or late November given how long it actually takes us to plan and implement redesigns. I don't blame anybody for this. I know things like this are, at times, done without any sort of discussion and I know community discussions have seen disappointing levels of activity as of late but if somebody, admin or not, was interested in a Christmas theme then they should have either made a discussion or just pursued it themselves and "consult" others for feedback. Implementing a theme may require administrative intervention but that doesn't mean nobody else can take part; it would honestly be nice to see different users getting involved with things like this.

I'd personally like to get a TS4-themed theme going on the wiki at some point with a new background, design and logo (some ideas are already floating around ;)) as a new long-term theme but as that's derailing the topic of this thread, I'll save it for a later discussion. {{LabSig}} 14:02, December 29, 2013 (UTC)

Forums: IndexCommunity discussionsChristmas theme | Post

I saw this wiki's design, and I realised that the administrators and bureacrats should get the Christmas theme going like last December in 2012. Does anyone else agree? Joey.eyeball (talk) 01:43, December 19, 2013 (UTC)

Discussion

I think that this would be great idea, though I think it might be a bit too late to implement a new theme, considering it's only 5 days until Christmas and it would be difficult to have a lot of input from others, design it, implement it and then fix it within those five days. I think that it is a good idea, we just left it too late. Next year, if we start early enough, I think it would look quite nice! ~ Waikikamukow (Anyone wanna chat?) 07:13, December 20, 2013 (UTC)

Next year?! But... thats a year away from now! Joey.eyeball (talk) 07:28, December 20, 2013 (UTC)

Well, it's probably a bit too late to do anything now but if we really want a holiday-type theme just to see us through until the Spring, we could recycle last year's theme.
