Fire: If a Sim is on fire for a period of time, he/she will die. It is also possible for a Sim to randomly burst into flames via spontaneous combustion, though that is VERY uncommon.

It has never happened to me. I read that this CAN happen in real life and around 250 deaths are considered to have happened due to it. It happens when people get too stressy. I think keeping the sim in a low mood for around 2 weeks without letting them die, usually at -3, can trigger this, but I can't say for sure. It's EXTREMLY rare. |_<font color="#A60914" size="2px">Andronikos Leventis</font> <font color="#1404A2" size="1.3px">Talk</font> 16:37, January 23, 2011 (UTC)
::I've never heard of this happening in real life either: wikipedia:Spontaneous_human_combustion. I have not ever heard of this happening in the game, but I also don't make a point of making my Sims absolutely miserable so it's not likely that I would experience this anyway. -- <font color="green">LostInRiverview</font> <font color="navy">talk</font> · <font color="navy">blog</font> 17:17, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

Spontaneous human combustion does not happen in real life, it's an urban legend. However, it does happen in The Sims 1. I believe there is a tiny chance of it occurring when a Sim comes home from work: I've also heard that due to a bug the flames may not appear and it will look like the Sim has just randomly dropped dead. It does not occur in any other games because even by EAxis standards, the Sim you've worked hard on randomly dying, because the RNG feels like being cruel, is a horrible design choice. --Anoz 09:37, January 30, 2011 (UTC)
