I have been thinking a lot about creating a fanfiction called From Ukraine with hope. The storyline is set around the main character who is a 51-year old ukrainian woman called Yulia Shevchenko. :Hmm... Let's see, I think if your setting is going to be Ukraine, I say it should take place in Bosphoros/Crimea. Story-wise, I suggest that it be set in a village that is undergoing modernization, bringing in a corporate faction which wishes to take the task of modernizing. I might call for a Russian character who wishes to firmly establish economic ties with the developing parts of Ukraine, as well as a Greek immigrant, but your call.
