I feel that it would be a waste of time to implement more ideas unless the community does come to a consensus on whether we should change the design to the proposed one in the first place. If there's consensus here before then, I don't see why we can't implement the design earlier. The only reason that I can see for waiting is that the colors of some of the lettering and the "Forum wheel" don't match the current theme.
