OK, so basically I have a CAS Sim (name is Melissa Jones) (Oh and this is Sims 2). Apparently, all Sims have a pre-destined hobby they are better at. Her husband's is Science, her eldest daughter's is Fitness and her youngest daughter's is Cuisine. But I swear I have tried every single hobby with Melissa and nothing seems to produce that "I'm really glad I tried this xxxxx Activity!" notification!!

Some stats: Neatness is 5, Outgoing is 5, Active is 3, Playful is 8 and Niceness is 4. She has 5 enthusiasm points for Cuisine, 3 in film and literature, same level for Games and 1 for Music and Dance.

Is this normal for a Sim to not have one? Has this happened to anyone else?

This does happen sometimes. It's a minor glitch. Probably 3 out of every 20 sims I make in CAS has this same problem. You can use a game mod (for example, the SimBlender found at Simbology www.simbology.com/smf/index.php?topic=20.0), and assign your Sim her "one true hobby". If you would rather not use a game mod, you can have your Sim engage in a hobby of your choosing without worrying about it. Xia 209.213.132.231 (talk) 18:39, October 14, 2014 (UTC)
