Forum:Quick question about fanon additions
I would like to ask the administrators and/or those who knows the answer. Since the Sims Fannon has been moved to this wiki, my question is what is the proper way to title the article, or articles, pictures, and such, on here? I noticed that the articles that I would like to add have the Fannon with the two dots, one top of the other (I think that is called a semi colon or some sorts), then the article name. Example: Fanon:Article name. Right? And a follow-up question is if I have relating information that is, somewhat (by what I think should be on), on an another sub-article page (example Fanon:Name/Sub-page name) is this also correct? Another follow-up question, if someone has a fictional Sims video channel, like a YouTube channel made for Sims videos, is this also classified as a fanon article as well? Thanks for the answers. - Yes, fanon articles are titled as "Fanon:pagename". Images are still titled in the File namespace. As for using YouTube videos, I'm not sure if we even have a rule for that seeing as most people would write fanon, rather than film. I suppose you could add a YouTube video as long as there is some text in the article, like a transcript of some kind. Lost Labyrinth

- I was going to add the YouTube video into the article anyway but I want to know what is the proper way to do it. The other side of the YouTube question is to write an article about the YouTube Sims Channel, like the Sims 3 Channel and user created channels for The Sims, and the question that I asked could be asked this way, am I allowed to write about a Sims related articles on here without using the fanon namespace or write the article as a fanon namespace article? - That's difficult to say; if the channel were run by someone from EA who is on the game design team, then technically videos put on that channel would be canon, wouldn't they (looking for feedback on this)? - Thanks for the informative answers you two. I thank you. I have some questions other than this, which is now closed and resolved, and I would like to get information on how to do in-game feedback. First question is, how do I get a first born child, not necessary the first but in my game I would like it to be the first born child, to be a boy instead of a girl. Basically saying, I want a boy over a girl to be born and what is the process of getting a boy? I know in The Sims 2 there was a way to start the process of getting the sex of the child by who started the Woo Ho process, example: if you wanted a girl, the female starts the woo ho process but if you wanted a boy the male has to start the process. But this is always not the case but a strong and recommended way to do it in The Sims 2. But, I don't know how to get a boy or a girl in a way like that in The Sims 3. Also on this topic, since The Sims 2: Open For Business, you could eat cheesecake and receive twins and there is ways to get multiple children in The Sims 3. Question is, how do I or what is the secret on getting multiple births? Second question, technically the third question, is in The Sims 2 the Tombstone of Life and Death cheat will enable you to have more than eight Sims on a residential lot, but, the question I have that I haven't found the answer to is, how do I get this cheat to happen in The Sims 3? I believe that eating cheesecake does the same thing in The Sims 3 as in The Sims 2. Also, to get a boy, eat lots of apples (things like Apple pancakes don't count) for a boy, and same for a girl, but with watermelons. MoonWing Blame it on the Rain!
