is there a way to turn off story progression entirely on sims3? like on sims2 so that when you are not playing the household it freezes completely. im increasingly tempted by sims3 but when ive played it on my boyfriends laptop even when i turn story progression off and free will off the houses still seem to do stuff on their own sometimes and that would just mess up my style of play completely. Yeah, you can turn it off via the options menu, along with the option to turn off aging. ―ฬђ ^talk 10:27, January 12, 2013 (UTC)

are you sure that turns it off completely and the sims in that household are completely unable to do anything whilst im not playing them? Sims2addict9312 (talk) 12:27, January 12, 2013 (UTC)

In theory, they would still do normal activities to survive like eat or socialize, but they just won't have any progression like marriage or having kids. Nikel _{Talk – Vote!} 04:46, January 18, 2013 (UTC)
