Borrowing from a bank is quite a bit simpler than in the real world. You can take out loans for pretty much anything, from houses to funding criminal activity, but you must pay the bank back within a certain amount of time, set by the bank moderator. There is no interest rate initially. If you fail to pay by the turn set by the bank mod, however, the price will be multiplied by 1.5, and you will be given an extension. If still you do not pay back the money, you will lose your house and therefore be disqualified from the game.
