Alright, third time's the charm, I hope.

I initially proposed a Rumored Games Policy in response to a certain permanently-banned <s>chronic liar</s> imaginative contributor. It received support from all of three people and, while I was pleased that it received no negative response, three people is hardly consensus. So, with the buzz about University Life rumors at the tail end of 2012, I decided to propose the policy again. Again, the responses I got were good but hardly a shining example of overwhelming support from the community. I was planning on bringing the matter up for more focused debate instead of letting the matter drop once again, but by a stroke of fate, EA decided to throw out [[Live Chat with The Sims 3|everything but the kitchen sink]] and basically made the initial Rumored Games policy fix only half the problem.

I'm resolved not to let this die again, but unlike last time, I believe I finally have a comprehensive policy that covers not only rumored games, but information about confirmed games that are not released - an issue that we've always dealt with informally, but one which I believe may be more of a pressing matter this year given the [[Untitled The Sims 3 Time Travel Expansion Pack|confirmed but vague]] games we've got - the games are confirmed to be in development but aside from the general theme we don't know anything, and we don't have a policy that governs additions to the articles we do have.
