Will the Sims 2 be re-released as a Complete Collection, similar to the original Sims? I wonder because I only have the original Sims 2 (no expansions), and I'd like to get the expansions, but I'd prefer to get them as a collection than to get them separately.
- I can't speak for EA but it would seem likely that they will eventually release a complete collection. However, don't expect it for a few years. Right now, your best bet might be to buy collections; The Sims 2 Best of Business Collection, The Sims 2 Fun with Pets Collection, and The Sims 2 University Life Collection are the three collections currently released - Collections are an expansion pack paired with one or two stuff packs, and they are comparable in price to a regular expansion.
- As a general rule, the longer you wait, the more compiled the game will get and the less you'll need to pay to get all of it. However, as you wait, you will find; 1) EA/Maxis will be less willing to support the game, 2) Community content and contribution to the game will decrease and 3) Downloadable content will in general become harder to find as more people stop playing TS2 in favor of TS3.
