This does not affect Sims' ability to use the game console, but the only way to return the controllers to not being seen as disposable is to purchase a new console. If the controllers are seen as disposable, Sims, particularly Neat Sims, may autonomously attempt to Dispose of a controller. If a Sim starts to dispose of a controller, the player can save the controller by canceling the Dispose action before the Sim starts to put the controller in a trash can or trash compactor.
