Game guide:Moving into a new house

To move your active household's Sims and all their possessions into a new, unoccupied house in the neighborhood:

1. The house you want to move to must be unoccupied (no family name or house icon over it in Map view).
2. In your current house, click your phone or computer and choose Move. This brings up the Move dialog.
3. In the right-hand "pane" of the dialog, click the House button at the bottom and select the house you want to move to by clicking it's icon on the Move Map view that appears.
4. Select the option (in the left pane representing your current house) to either pack up all your current house belongings or to sell them all. (The contents of your fridge will not be moved.)
5. Click the checkmark to complete the transaction.
6. Once you're at your new home, go into build mode.
7. With the sledgehammer, smash up any furniture/objects you don't want to keep.
8. Along the middle between your tools puck and the graphics of different objects to buy/place are three "tabs" aligned vertically. Click the bottom one: "Family Inventory". All the stuff packed up from your old house is there ready to place in your new home.
