Teaching toddler skills can be tedious and take an unusually long amount of time. Not anymore! Here's a guide that will show you how to do it much more quickly. This tutorial is best completed with a Sim that has the Family-Oriented trait, as it allows the Sim to teach the toddler skills faster.

Cheat method

This is by far the easiest method, and it utilizes cheats to stop motive decay and allow a sim to teach the skills uninterrupted. This is best used for the Walking and Talking skills. First, hit Ctrl+Shift+C to open the cheat console, and type "testingcheatsenabled true" without the quotes. Next, hold down shift and click on the mailbox and click "Make all Happy", and then "Make Needs Static". This will max out all of the Sim's motives and keep them from decaying. After that, teach them the skills, and don't let anything interrupt them.

Legitimate Method

This requires a Sim with the Family-Oriented trait. Start by using the motive-filling objects (bed, fridge) to make them completely happy. Then, pick up the toddler, click on the toddler toilet and press "Potty Train (toddler name)" over and over, ignoring smells and puddles, until the skill has been completely taught. After that, take a break to raise their needs again and go back to teaching either of the remaining skills, ignoring all unneeded interruptions.

Trivia

• Whether the toddler toilet is full or not does not affect the toddler being able to use it. Even if it became so full that there were puddles everywhere, the "Potty Train (Sim)" interaction would still be usable.
• The toddler will say words right more often in the second half of the Learning to Talk skill meter.
• With World Adventures, toddler skill learning rate can also be amplified by the Incense Holder of Jun Pao from China.
