She was the wife of [[Canute Beaker]] and they had one son, [[Bjorn Beaker]], and two grandchildren, [[Erin Singles|Erin]] and [[Loki Beaker|Loki]]. According to her SimDNA in [[Package editor#SimPE|SimPE]], Gertrude's hair was black, before it turned grey.

Though all deceased ancestors of Loki and Erin Beaker have brown eyes in their thumbnails, only Gertrude and [[Grainne Salamis]] actually have them. This can be proven by viewing their SimDNAs. Gertrude is also the only ancestor of Loki and Erin, not to have a corrupted face. The cardigan she is wearing is not available in this coloration. Her facial structure is identical to the 14th maxisMaxis face template. According to Gertrude's age data in SimPE, she had 32 days left in the elder stage when she died.
