The '''Gilman family''' is the richest family in [[Sugar Maple Coast]]. They are also the oldest family in the area, with an unbroken line of descendants going back to when the town was known as Gilman Hill. The elderly [[Johnstone Gilman|Johnstone]] recently passed on the family company to his son [[Vincent Gilman|Vincent]] and now spends his days doting on his new [[Eva Gilman|granddaughter]]. Vincent and [[Catherine Gilman|his wife]] find themselves overworked at times between the pressures of careers and a new child.

There's a deceased Sim in Sugar Maple Coast named [[Angela Gilman]], who was married to a [[Goth family|Goth]], but did not change her last name. In her biography, it's mentioned that her father is James Gilman. It is unknown what their relation to this family, however, although it's highly likely that they are related in some way.
