The Grilled Cheese aspiration is introduced in the Nightlife expansion as a result of the failed use of the ReNuYuSenso Orb. All the wants and fears are are related to grilled cheese sandwiches. This aspiration is rumored to be inspired by Sims in The Sims 2 cooking this sandwiches autonomously all the time. However, it might also be based on the tradition of giving the employees grilled cheese sandwiches to eat when there is a significant milestone at Maxis.

Grilled Cheese aspiration Sims will unlock an unique interaction which is talk.../About Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. This interaction will usually be rejected unless the target is a nice Sim or his/her aspiration is also Grilled Cheese.

The Grilled Cheese aspiration is a good choice for players who want very simple wants to fulfill, as nearly all of them involve your sim or other sims eating grilled cheese.

Enabling the Aspiration

The Grilled Cheese aspiration is a secret aspiration and it is not available in any of the aspiration menus (which pop up when a Sim is created, grows into a teen or finishes junior year at university). This aspiration is only availabe with the Nightlife expansion pack and can be gained by using a cheat code, using the ReNuYuSenso Orb, or by selecting it as a secondary aspiration.

Cheat Code

When using the cheat code, activate the code bar (Ctrl+Shift+C) and type in: boolProp testingCheatsenabled true. Save the game and exit the lot. Return to the lot and right-click your Sim. Go through the menus and select the Grilled Cheese aspiration.

ReNuYuSenso Orb

When using the ReNuYuSenso Orb (6,230 Reward Points) make sure the Sim is below the golden aspiration level and has enough aspiration points to purchase the ReNuYuSenso Orb. When the Sim is below golden aspiration level, it has a better chance of receiving a negative side effect from the ReNuYuSenso Orb. The negative side effect will be the Grilled Cheese aspiration.

Secondary Aspiration

The Grilled Cheese aspiration is available as a secondary aspiration in the FreeTime expansion pack. This is the only time the player is able to choose the aspiration. When using this method make sure the Sim has at least one lifetime point.

Lifetime Want

The lifetime want of Sims with the Grilled Cheese aspiration is to eat 200 grilled cheese sandwiches. This lifetime want is the only lifetime want for this aspiration.

When the aspiration bar stays red for a long time, the Sim will draw a picture of a grilled cheese sandwich with a face on a piece of cardboard and kiss or try to eat it.

Player stories

• Using the tombstone of L&D, I spawned a pregnancy for Natasha Una. Her family didn't want her pregnant. When I came back to the lot, Natasha had a baby boy named Grilled!

• Through the ReNuYu Senso Orb I changed Nervous Subject's aspiration to Grilled Cheese!! It was perfect for him because he is such a loser. His wife Emma Stellar-Subject [I created her] is thinking about dumping him because he never pays attention to their kids Lydia, Austin and Emmett anymore and will only talk and think about grilled cheese sandwiches.

• I created a couple, Chester and Chelsea Cheeze, and deliberately let their aspirations fall low enough to make them into Grilled Cheese Sims! Although Chelsea's aspiration level was low green, she retained her Romance aspiration. Unfortunately, after the conversion, Chester lost all interest in WooHoo, almost putting Chelsea back into aspiration failure. As a result, she went on dates with the mailman, the headmaster, and the repairman. Chester was a better parent to her four little cuckoos than she was! Guess he knew they'd grow up to eat grilled cheese!

• I raised a child to a grilled cheese teenager and i had the parents infect the teen with lycanthropy. When I sent the teen off to college, where the teen lived on the roof eating, conjuring, and serving grilled cheese, thanks to the benefits of the hunger drop for werewolves. When he got out, he had over 100,000 aspiration points. (The max amount of aspiration points any sim can get is 327,670)

• I have had many sims who I didn't like the lifetime wants of. I forgot about Grilled Cheese Aspiration and find it kind of dumb. Being very young as I am, I took imediate action. I changed it, but it was very funny because their lifetime wants were to eat 200 grilled cheese sandwiches. :)

• I deleted my charicter because every time she ate grilled cheese she would remember it! her memory base was TRASHED with useless memorys of grilled chesse!

• Refusing to give my Young Adult his grilled cheese led him to misery. He died from depression.

• I was playing Don Lothario and I was tired of him. So I killed all his girlfriends (sob) and he got depressed, so I changed his aspiration to grilled cheese. It was funny because he automatically kept talking about grilled cheese sandwiches and became enemies with every one because of grilled cheese!

• I really wanted my Elder sim to get a golden grave, and seeing as he could no longer achieve his earlier lifetime want. I forced him to go into the red meter, as his wife...mysteriously died. After that dear Raphiel eat his sorrow away with the help of those Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, and of course the maid had a fun time laughing at him because apparently - he smelled rather bad after eating 200 of them. Got my golden grave though.

• I made a family the Cheese family and i made them have brown hair and yellow t-shirts and the person with the best aspiration is Gina Cheese as she made grilled cheese for people and eat`s them herself lol.

• I remember, after naively inviting the old witch into my replica family, trying desperately to fix Mrs. Crumplbottom so she would stop hitting everyone. even after making her as kind and sloppy as possible, she was still horrible to everyone in my family. I was driven by her stubborn attitdue to giving her the griled cheese aspiration. So, she talked about grilled cheese in between beating everyone in sight with that awful handbag. Woopee.
