It is the place for buying or selling goods for recipes, getting a Part-time job as a Grocery Store Clerk, and has a Fishing Class
All harvestable produce bought from the grocery has a nice quality, while fish has normal quality. Sims can buy individual items or ingredients by recipe. Sims can also save the shopping list for later use, but only one shopping list can be saved. Saving another shopping list will override the previous list.

Firework bundles
Store prices vs. harvesting prices
Expand
The store price is 150% of value at which the player can sell the same item via inventory.

Price and sale
If the harvested produce is sold to the store, it sells at 10% higher value than via inventory.
The price of harvested produce from the grocery is 150% higher than their base values. Selling fish and harvested produce to the grocery has 10% higher value than selling them directly in the inventory. Selling them to the consignment store is more beneficial, however.

Every day, there's 5% chance the grocery will have a sale, ranging from 35% to 50% discount. The sale could last for 1 or 2 days. Additionally, Sims who work as Grocery Store Clerk will have a 10% discount if they work at the grocery.
The sales value are as follows, rounded down:

*Normal: 100%
*Nice: 110%
*Very Nice: 150%
*Great: 200%
*Excellent: 250%
*Outstanding: 300%
*Perfect: 400%

Mike's Cornerstore is the market in Bridgeport. It's notable for being one of Bridgeport's smallest rabbit holes. This version of the grocery has the same color scheme as the Doo Peas Corporate Tower and High Products Business Building in Riverview and Twinbrook, respectively. On the door there is a flier with a cat on it. This is odd because the "Late Night" expansion pack was released before the "Pets" expansion pack.
