Brent: Possibly derived from a Celtic word meaning "hill".

• This is the first pre-made LGBT couple in The Sims 4 and the second one in the series.
• In promotional material the Hecking family also had a cat named Joaquin, which didn't make it into the final game, but according to SimGuruJM "it died". It is unknown if this is true, as if it did die it probably would be in-game but as a ghost.

• The family is a reference to a meme "they're good dogs Brent" from the twitter user, @WeRateDogs, who were tweeting to a user to the user @Brant about his complaints of giving illogical ratings to dog pictures.
  • The family name "Hecking" is a reference to the common word @WeRateDogs would use to describe dogs.
  • The lot the family lives on is called "It's A Good House" referencing the phrase "they're good dogs Brent"
  • Brant and Brent are both the names referered to the user @Brant, to which @WeRateDogs jokingly replied with their name as Brent instead.
