The hermit is a sim that lives in the secret lot of Granite Falls in Deep Woods They are randomly generated at the start of the game,
Life leading up to sims 4
It looks like the hermit has been living alone inside the Deep Woods with little or no sim contact the hermit took an interest in gardening as she/he owns a garden that always includes tomatoes blackberries and other plants. The hermit might also be skilled in fishing as there is a pond nearby and wood crafting as there is a wood crafting station just outside the house
