The hermit is an NPC that lives in the Deep Woods, the secret area in Granite Falls. They are randomly generated at the start of the game.
The hermit appears to be a Sim that has lived alone in the Deep Woods with little or no contact with the outside world. They own a garden with tomatoes, blackberries, and other plants, as well as a crafting bench; and there is a pond near their house, implying an interest in gardening, handiness and fishing. The hermit has a high skill in herbalism, and is therefore able to teach visiting Sims how to craft certain potions.
Trivia
- Their house is made almost entirely of wood, implying that they built it alone with their woodworking skills.
- Like most NPCs in The Sims 4, if the hermit is added to a playable household or if they die, a new hermit will be generated to take their place.
