The Hick family is a premade family which is included in The Sims: Unleashed. The members of the family are Mama, her adult son Elden, and their three dogs Bobo, Duke, and Leroy. They live in Old Town, at 76 Gunther Goth Highway, their house is a small poor trailer and is very messy in the outside.
Since The Sims does not keep track of family relationships, it is up to the player to manage the parent-adult child relationship between Mama and Elden.
The family does not appear in The Sims 2 or The Sims 3.
Onomatology
Hick -- An awkward, naive, clumsy and/or rude country person/people.
- Elden Hick -- It means "Ella's Hill" or "Valley of Elves"; it can be a variant of Eldon which means 'Ella's Hill'. It can also be a variant of Alden which means 'old friend'. There is also the variation elden that means 'to grow old'.
- Mama Hick--(Elden's mother) Named for a hillbilly slang, Mama Hick. Means "mother", or 'attractive person'
- Bobo Hick -- It can mean, as a Ghanian name, "born on Tuesday" or be urban slang for 'idiot'.
- Duke Hick -- It means to "lead" and also a title of nobility
- Leroy Hick -- It means "the king" and comes from the French term 'Le Roi'.
