The Kingdom is the world of The Sims Medieval, the territory ruled by the monarch and the main focus of the game that the player has to expand and improve from a hoping kingdom to a great empire. Unlike other worlds in The Sims 3, it does not start with a premade name, and the player gets to name it the name they like.

The Kingdom is the world of The Sims Medieval. At the start of the game, the player chooses a Kingdom Ambition, which is the overall goal for the kingdom to achieve. Some Kingdom Ambitions include, Largest Kingdom, Most Happiness, Largest Military Might, but all kingdoms begin with the same starting ambition, New Beginnings, and unlock new ambitions after completing each one. Players can advance their Kingdom by completing quests that contribute to the Kingdom Ambition.

Buildings
To expand the kingdom, the player can either construct new buildings or conquer other kingdoms and territories.
Once you begin the game, the Kingdom includes the castle, some docks, the village shoppe, the town square and the judgement zone. There is also a forest at the side of the kingdom and a graveyard.

As the game goes on, the player has the option to build more buildings to improve his kingdom, and some buildings get built automatically in certain points of the game, such as the Reception Hall, the Training Yard and the City Walls.

New Buildings
There are new buildings that can be added by the use of Resource Points, each building raises certain aspects of the kingdom, Well Being, Culture, Security and Knowledge. Some buildings are required for certain quests to show up. Overall, each building has a Hero Sim assigned to it. The buildings that can be built are:

Expanding the Kingdom
The player can expand the kingdom by allying with and annexing other neighbouring kingdoms. The player starts allied with the annexed kingdoms of Tredony and Crafthole. How many kingdoms the player annexes changes his title, for example, annexing another kingdom apart from Tredony and Crafthole changes the title from Lord/Lady to King/Queen. Annexing 3 other kingdoms gives the Monarch the title of Emperor/Empress.
