The cowplant appears buyable but as atame buyableand statue-like. In fact, as the cowplant doesn't move at all, it probably is a statue and not actually living. It can also be seen eating a woman on the gardening channel eating a woman.

The cowplant is reminiscent of Audrey II the plant in [[wikipedia:The Little Shop of Horrors|The Little Shop of Horrors]] and people on youtube use the plant for spoofs of the film.
